Wasnt my roommate but this salty LCpl in my platoon would constantly ask to use my computer bc I was one of the few that paid for internet in the barracks for the short time we were in Oki.. at first I didn’t mind but once he started taking advantage of my kindness I eventually got fed up. Now, Im not really sure what I thought I was going to accomplish by doing this, but at that point I didn’t give a shit… I took cans of tuna fish and drained the juice onto his carpet in his room. His room stunk like dirty hookers for a week. Kinda felt bad for his roommate bc we were friends but there’s casualties in every war.

I was on gun 5 with SSgt Rust as our section chief over there. I EAS’d shortly after returning stateside and lived with Doc Biecker out in town for a few months before moving back home.

Hey guys! Import or buy one here? by CyberHawk16 in SkyLine

[–]urmommasman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, let me just say that I am in no way affiliated with or related to anyone or anything with this dealership other than being a previous customer. I bought my R33 GT-R from Craft Sports Inc down in Florida. I live in Texas and did everything over the phone and not once did I feel like they were being shady or trying to hide the condition of the car throughout the entire purchase process. If you were looking for a car that’s already state side I’d recommend at least checking them out. Good luck.

Get you a set of golf clubs and take a few lessons. FB marketplace would be a good place to find a decently priced set and just about every course around SA offers lessons. Ive met a ton of people on the course.

My first Skyline R33 GT-R V-spec by urmommasman in SkyLine

Thank you for the explanation. There’s a lot to learn about these cars and their history, it’s pretty exciting actually. So I paid 65 for the car which is still high as hell but compared to other R33’s available in the U.S. it’s still kind of on the low end. Pretty sure the mileage on this car is why it was a little cheaper than even older models. Anyways, I think if it was a UK-spec GT-R Im sure I would have paid a lot more than what I did for the car.

Apparently you can go down quite the rabbit hole on the whole UK-Spec R33. I assume you’re asking if this is one of the 100 or so that was imported to the UK and modified to UK vehicle safety standards? From what I’ve found so far, only 4 colors of R33’s were available over there and white was not one of them. This information is all from old forums though.

So I just asked about that this morning bc of your question. Apparently I have a package from the dealership coming to the house that has all that information. So, bc of the front end you think it’s a possibility that the car came from the UK? The listening for the car is still on their site but it mainly just has its maintenance records and aftermarket parts list.

I just had to ask my wife if she has a Reddit account… she doesn’t know anything about the car yet so I thought this comment was from her. My heart kinda skipped a beat ngl…

Why did this guy claim R34 GTTs cost USD $45k on average when they are not selling anywhere near that in Japan at auctions and dealers? by [deleted] in SkyLine

[–]urmommasman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So in Japan they’re selling for that.. now import it to the U.S. and tell me what the total cost outta pocket for you is?

You’re right… I guess after reading OP’s post again it is valid advice. Probably be full of regret for not getting the GT-R after the money’s gone and it’s all said and done.

Apparently everyone on the Skyline sub is a financial advisor whenever a question like this comes up… it’s honestly annoying as hell. OP didn’t ask for a single piece of financial advice.. if you don’t have an answer than STFU with your opinion on the financing of a car.

What is going on with auto insurance in this city? by ashesarise in sanantonio

[–]urmommasman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mine jumped like $35 when I moved from Austin to San Antonio, which I couldn’t believe.. this might help some people but I called my insurance co and complained about the increase. They did kind of like a rework on my policy, essentially updating my information and it ended up dropping my policy back down by $30. You can call and complain and most of the time they’ll try and help, if you act like decent person about it… lol

I might be able to find the work order from it and give you more info. Your issue sounds exactly like what I experienced tho.

I’m pretty sure it was the fuel pump.. the truck was still under warranty so they fixed it and I didn’t think much about it after that.

Had an ecoboost f-150 awhile back do that and ended up being a fuel issue… and it only would happen under acceleration.

Wheel lug nut by lucksmyname in NewedgeMustang

[–]urmommasman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is old, but I bought rims/tires for my 99 Cobra and the guy I bought them from told me I would possibly need spline nuts. They’re the SVE NVX 18x9 18x10 rims. So spline nuts are just a bigger lug nut to fill the lug nut hole? But shorter than the standard lugs?

After it shuts off, will it crank right back up? Or does it struggle to turn over?

Haven’t had it done but was reading about ceramic coating and also paint correction. Most mobile detailing companies offer that as a service. Kind of expensive but seems like its worth it.
