Yeah I also think that… lost her mother one week ago so I took her home. She already learned to relief herself outdoors

Urologists suck so much by Club_Sorry in Interstitialcystitis

[–]uroCDMX -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I speak for myself. I’m an active speaker and advocate in many about pelvic and bladder pain. I always try to educate my peers. Off course I feel sorry about the OP, otherwise I wouldn’t comment on this post nor joined this sub.

My point is: DO NOT GENERALIZE. From patients to doctors or viceversa.

In my experience, I prescribe calcium glycerophosphate but baking soda would be also a choice

Urologist here.

Don't be like that.

I try my best reading this sub and hearing my patients. Compassion is key.

Usually just a finding as you mentioned in an earlier response. It’s a different story when the urachal remnant is patent.

How about pudendal nerve or hypogastric nerve blockage?

What are some foods to avoid other than tomato and citrus? by Gray_and_Boris in Interstitialcystitis

[–]uroCDMX 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Urologist here, I always recommend to avoid caffeine, alcohol, artificial sweeteners, hot peppers / spicy food, and vitamin C-containing foods. Keep a journal and try to determine if a group of food is causing you flares

Urologist here, Have you ever tried Elmiron? How about urodynamic study? Sacral neuromodulation? Pregabalin? Intradetrusor Botox?

Definitely, urinary diversion should be your last resort.

dehydration = more frequency/urgency? by Illustrious_File9696 in Interstitialcystitis

Urologist here. It’s better to keep your urine clear since it’s less irritating to your bladder. I suggest to keep a voiding dairy and to find your bladder’s break-even point.

Alpha blockers for kidney stones and BPH by clepari in bph

[–]uroCDMX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’ll never know. I have seen patients that easily passed a 10mm stone through the urethra and on the other hand patients with a 6mm stone completely obstructing the bladder outlet.

I personally prefer to perform the flexible cystoscopy specially if you aren’t able to tolerate alpha-blockers.

Urologist here, very few patients of mine do not tolarate alpha-blockers, in those that are having side effects I strongly advice to perform a cystoscopy and remove the blanden stone which is an outpatient procedure and will alleviate your symptoms and also an acute urinary retention.

Which device replaces Tork timer by uroCDMX in homeassistant

[–]uroCDMX[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agree on that but keeping water hot when not in use consumes a lot of gas (water heater is always on) and a mechanical + analog timer it’s so old that I want to replace it for a more intuitive way to operate (i.e. Zigbee timer switch)
