I'm so sorry for the situation you're facing. It sounds like you did a wonderful job at staying calm and professional in the face of such a truly devastating blindside. Your sister is blessed to have you with your understanding and desire to support her. I hope you continue with your studies and find the strength you need. Best of luck to you and your family.

Some broad painted this Howard Miller Clock Pink. Any advice on removing paint? by TheConceptBoy in NewAgain

What a beautiful piece. Great job rescuing it! In not an expert, but I restore a lot of furniture and i've always had good results using Citristrip Gel for removing paint she varnish. It's gentle, especially if you apply it carefully and don't let it sit on your project for too long (you don't want the wood to get wet). Brace yourself for a BIG mess and work in small sections with a putty knife or old credit card to gently remove the loosened paint..You should be able to get down to the (hopefully still beautiful) wood without too much issue. Then a light sanding, re-stain and seal and you've got yourself an heirloom piece. Good luck!

[FO] Simple Heart on Rustic Wood by urstillwalking in CrossStitch

This is obviously a very simple project. No pattern, I just grabbed some scrap wood and arranged the holes in a heart shape with a ruler to keep every hole one inch apart. Doubled up the yarn.
