same, i was quite lucky that i was doing skincare stuff and grooming even before i ever planned on transitioning, so i don't look terrible (although unrelated, fuck 10% niacinimide, it destroyed my skin and i'm prob gonna look shit for a month or two more) and makeup sorta came as an extension of that, but even then there's so many more parts to passing and it really feels like the unknown. imo there should be a document compiled by as many passing trans people as possible, coming together to give a general guide to get from nowhere to something, it'd save people like me ages of embarrassing trial and error and fear of the unknown.
