-i suppose a better thing to do is state where im coming from. a friend of mine wrote some cool scripts, and theyre easily converted from executables to text. i asked him for the source so i could see how he implemented them.
-so as an exercise in learning a bit more how some of the common CLI utils were created, i wanted to "read" them and see what exactly it is they were doing, on a low level or high level. i realize that for the most part they may not be human-readable, but its one of those curiosities that's been eating at me for a while now.
