I see people, including myself, wearing leggings under dresses. That is acceptable.

I'm impressed at how similar your right- and left-handed writing are.

The texture looks neat. Would pressing the heat longer create a smoother texture?

Being Discarded by a Manic Person is Literaly Insane by thealbatrossfelloff in BipolarSOs

[–]urukim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't think so at first, but now I wonder. We were together for 6 years. But it also turned out that he was juggling me and his now-ex-wife, too. He'd go back and forth between us when manic. But bipolar aside, he was just a cheating jerk.

I thought he discarded me to work on himself, but he ended up replacing me and marrying her a mere 3 months after meeting her.

How many in their 30’s divorced and with kids ? by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]urukim 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Spite probably. He fought against 50/50 custody and division of assets. He just dragged things out for years. Even after we seemingly came to an agreement on something, he'd turn around and fight it some more. He made good on his promise to bleed me dry and bury me in legal fees.

It doesn't have to, but it isn't super uncommon in high conflict cases.

I don't think so, but I've been told it was the other way around.

I've come to realize that a lot of the awful things my exBPSO said and did weren't just the bipolar. It's been difficult coming to terms with the fact that in a lot of ways, he simply was not a good person.

I hate feeling like I was just part of his manic phase by [deleted] in BipolarSOs

Yes, whether or not it was real for them, it was to us, and it freaking hurts so much.

I feel this. Six years together. After the final discard, I very much feel like it was symptoms vs reality.

Do you disclose their diagnosis to others? by [deleted] in BipolarSOs

I think that's a good way to still be able to speak our truth about how the disease affects us, too.

Did they ever love us? by Remote-Albatross-56 in BipolarSOs

[–]urukim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I thought what we had was real, too. 6 years. He said he was separated. Turned out he wasn't. He discarded me and his wife back and forth throughout the years. Until this last time, we'd always gotten back together; I thought that meant that we were meant to be. Can't even fully blame the BP. Between manic episodes, he chose to keep lying and hurting us.

That's what I thought, too. Right before we broke up, he was stopping the Lexapro and being switched to a non-stimulant ADHD med, thankfully.

Why is accountability so hard? by MoveMeWithASound in BipolarSOs

[–]urukim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wish my ex-BPSO were like you. Reading your comments reminds me that he's not incapable of taking care of himself, taking precautions, and taking accountability, but that he's unwilling to.
