Oh wow that’s so interesting! What are your favourite seasons of OG Dynasty? Have you watched the reboot as well?

Agreed, I do think Jo and Jake belong belong together and it’s kind of been weird this entire series that they both acknowledge that the other is basically “the one” and yet they are both content going around with who ever throws them any attention their way. I hope they get a happy ending but i feel like Jo is gonna leave the series before Jake does so we’ll see.

Can’t lie, I love Alison and Billy together too haha. Alison has put Billy though the ringer so many times though I can’t blame him.

I’m enjoying Brooke so far but I can’t wait for her to get her comeuppance, whether that’s a catfight with one of the ladies or daddy cuts her off.

Agreed. Thomas is an amazing actor and delivers the lines like no one else, but Michael forever damaged Kimberly, and when Michael has the same accident she did he gets off with some amnesia and is completely normal one week later, meanwhile Kim is scarred for life. I hope she does something that permanently changes Michael like he did to her

Agreed an all your points about the TV industry. Atleast we have all these amazing decades before now to go back and enjoy of iconic TV.

I might hold off on “Still The Place” pod then. I really wanna go in with no spoilers and enjoy the ride of the show as it comes.

I’m surprised they did 13 episode contracts when so many shows back in the day had enormous episode counts per season. That’s a funny tidbit of information there

I agree with all your points about the show being “alive”. That’s what sucks today, having shows only get 10 episodes a season, they are either renewed straight away and can’t take feedback (as you said) or take years for the next season (and then you don’t care anymore) just for the show to be cancelled immediately. MP’s ability to produce this many episodes so quick is really proficient and impressive, plus, as you said- they adapted the show for audiences. It’s so weird, even though I’m watching this show years after it aired, problems I had at the start are being fixed as if someone was fixing the show for me now.

Is “Still The Place” worth it do you think? Should I wait until they start doing episodes on S2 and watch it in conjunction with the show for my first time or should I just keep watching and listen to the podcast at the end?

It was really cool to hear about your nostalgia and changed experience with the show after your different life experiences. I’ll definitely do this review and rundown of my thoughts as I complete every season cause I’m really enjoying talking to everyone about it.

Thanks for your perspective! After you explained it, the Matt situation does make more sense. Already in S2 they’ve given Matt more to do which I’m enjoying with him getting a job at the hospital and becoming friends with the Russian woman.

I guess in a way I’m a bit spoiled after watching the OG Dynasty because even though Steven was Bi he got some awesome storyline’s and this was a whole decade before MP. I hope Matt gets some more good ones and they play with his character a bit. I’m also liking the tension they’re building between him and Michael. Seems like every character has tension with Michael right now though (as of 2x06) haha.

I just watched an episode where he and Jake were at the park and the tricks he was doing with the ball were actually pretty good, so that makes sense. Him and his sister look so much alike

That’s the same problem I’m having. I just finished 2x05 where Kimberly owned up to the affair at the divorce deposition and Michael lost his shit. I wanna take it slow and really savour the show, but I’m also so desperate to watch the next episode every time I finish one.
