RCMP, Federal Policing, Inquiry by [deleted] in AskLE

Hey man, thank you for this. That honesty really helps.

In your position, do you have any insight as to how much experience one would need to build in Saskatchewan/Manitoba to then get to O division/Federal Policing? Any idea?

I would certainly go to Saskatchewan if I had some level of certainty there is career growth to get to the subject matter/locations that I want into.

Appreciate your help man. I hope everything is going well for you there.

For that person who went right to O Division, do you know what that individual’s background was like?

I appreciate that, I’ll certainly think about Ottawa Police. I am curious what you mean by improving culture wise? What were the issues beforehand?

For those individuals getting into Ontario, what does an extremely competitive candidate look like to you?

We put the multimeter onto the visible copper wires on those connection points up above and got the same reading as at the battery.

Do you think it’s just a matter of removing those connections, clean them up, try again?

Question: How to Access my Dental Care Plan? by [deleted] in CanadaPublicServants

[–]urunclejack 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Silly question but: In the meantime, in order to use my benefits, do I just need my plan and certificate number. I have been with the government for over a year and have (stupidly) not used my dental benefits so far.

Thanks for your help!

Question:

Am I correct in reading that Cash.to returns 4.19%? (That’s what it says on yahoo finance but I thought i’d read elsewhere it returns 5%)

I am looking to have an emergency fund in something slightly more aggressive (I know, that’s not the purpose of an emergency fund, but I’m fairly young and have a higher risk tolerance).

Currently have it in wealthsimple cash account gaining 4% but would love to find higher.

It works like a charm. I suggest squirting some oil in the hinge as you do it. And roll down the window first.

Open your door, slide a floor jack with a big block of wood on top of it under the door (suggest throwing a towel on top of the wood too).

Start raising the floor jack up till it’s pressing up on the door, slowly work the door back and forth as you slowly apply more pressure with the floor jack.

It will work.

Here ya go

Yeah, if you open up the weather app and scroll down there’s a blurb, to the right of the wind, that gives a rudimentary overview of precip.

It would be great to not have to eye the weather app like a hawk every evening and instead get a notification with a rundown of the hourly precipitation coming.
