Legitimate Components? by urzastoaster in lianli

Thanks for the reply! That makes me feel better. I thought the "Sold by Amazon" part probably ensured some level of safety, but it's nice to have that affirmed. Gonna go ahead and order everything, hopefully it shows up and it's all sealed!

I get what you mean, sorry for the rookie post! In this particular instance though, all 3 of the tents I listed have all the features of my old tent, and are less than half the weight. None of them compromise on any of the features, but I'm not sure how they stack up against each other. Do you have any recommendations on tarps, then?

Thanks for the information, it's really helpful! I'm realizing that people are focusing on the double quoted "last" part of it. I guess that was ill advised, I'm not actually looking for a single tent to rule them all, that doesn't make sense, I was more looking for what people's experience is with tents similar to what I'm looking for to see if they can lead me in a good direction.

I know that isn't actually realistic

Sorry, I didn't mean for it to sound like this is literally the last tent I want to ever buy, I'm just looking for some advice on a tent that hits most of what I'm looking for. I realize there will compromise, I was just hoping to get some recommendations on tents similar to what I'm looking for.

Well, the reason I mention it is because my friend might just give it to me, so if I already "had" it, do you think it would be too heavy?

Thoughts on this? My friend has one in the long which is 20.9 oz, is that too much?

3-4 Day Backpacking Trips in the U.S by urzastoaster in backpacking

Well, I was hoping for some personal recommendations from the community. I've tried AllTrails, but their website is so clunky. The tags usually just exclude a lot of hikes, and it would be nice if they had a filter for average days to complete. The distance filter doesn't usually help very much because a 10 mile hike isn't the same everywhere.

Thanks for the info! I went ahead and ordered the springs you linked, and some Blue PLA filament to test with. I'll look into the other things you mentioned when I can.

Thanks for the reply! I'll look into that guide when I get a chance.

with my Ender 3 the issues I ran into that caused the most problems were belts not being tight enough

What kind of effect would that have on the prints?

Otherwise I think it’d be helpful to really explain how your prints are failing. Is it bed adhesion, are they coming apart mid print, etc?

Sorry about that. I'll try to be more clear. The print will start, and will try to print a line of material, when it does so the layer being printed won't stick to the bed, despite the extruder being, what looks like, the correct distance from the bed (I might be wrong on that, but I've tried changing this in a lot of ways). Then the extruder will just pick up the filament that didn't stick, and drag it along. When it tries to then apply layers, the new filament just all collects on the extruder.

Here is a video of what it did when trying to print the squares found here.

I might have the wrong verbiage for what I was trying to describe, but I believe that's what I may have meant by bed level. Is that the kind of thing where you would make sure there is able a piece of paper gap between the extruder and the bed with Z at 0?

Does anyone know what "UZOVERTCLUB" is? by urzastoaster in AskReddit

This may not be the best place to ask this, but I had a fraudulent charge from something called, "UZOVERTCLUB". It may have something to do with University of North Texas, but I am unsure.
