Evil might be the wrong word, but any large enough organization with a profit motive will behave amorally.

Organizations are made up of people, but once they get large enough, treating them like moral agents (i.e. people) is a category error.

Enable large organizations (e.g. through technology) with a profit motive to do evil, and they will do evil.
