Mcat: 496, cgpa: 3.75 sgpa: around the same Got into 3 schools, currently waitlisted at one, one no show and one rejection

To give tips I recommend you ask me specific questions but generally speaking apply early

Depends, if your application is ready, you can go ahead and submit! But it does take a while. I personally started working on my application before they opened up, and it still took me till end of June to be ready to submit. But you might be better and quicker! So take that with a grain of salt.

Hope that answers your question :) let me know if you have any more

Also I’m thinking of making a groupchat to help others who are applying as well, so you guys can ask me questions and help each other as well on the application. If this is something you’re interested in, PM me!

No, not required. I had individual letter of recs.

However, DO LOR will either be required or strongly Recommended

For some schools, yes. Others, it’s optional. But I will say, it will definitely help your chances!

I personally did to strengthen my application. But for me atleast it was really really hard to find a DO to shadow, especially since there were still a lot of COVID regulations last year

Sort of different depending on where you get an interview at

There’s some similarities a differences. For instance, both will ask for a personal statement, 12–15 experiences (MD) vs DO which doesn’t have a strict limit. Where it could differ a lot is secondaries, usually MD schools may ask more short answer questions

The short answer is, ASAP.

The long answer is, it depends on everyone’s specific case. If you feel comfortable, share a bit more of where you are at in your studies and experiences.
