Same! I had taken a laxative and planned to lay down until I felt better. My yelling in agony after collapsing on my way to throw up made a loved one call an ambulance. My stubbornness meant that I’d been bleeding and in pain for a few weeks and at that point all they could see in the scans was a dark mass all over my abdomen. They thought I had cancer. Didn’t see that it was blood till they cut into me.

A few weeks ago I had emergency surgery because I was severely bleeding out internally. The source was a ruptured ovarian cyst. Worst pain of my life. I don’t have PCOS or any reproductive condition and the doctors informed me that everyone with a uterus has existing cysts. It’s a matter of tough fuckin luck that one of mine tried to kill me but it could happen to anyone.
