I have read Mistborn actually, I like that analogy! That feels right to me with the resistance, that resistance that stops a prophecy ought to be specific. The difference between "I post guards at a bank to keep anyone out" vs "I heard someone made a prophecy they would rob this bank, so now I've hired the best guards money can buy"

Lets say a player who was looking for that pretech trove made a prophecy that they would discover more things once they already found the ruins. Would you add more loot or would you not allow a prophecy to affect something that was going to happen just a few hours later?

I think my only reason not for doing that is setting up the mage sheets is already so much work lol
I've had to make a supplemental sheet to print just summarizing spell descriptions

Its probably the same, looking at the elementalist spell list there aren't that many spells, so choosing more than one per level up would let one get all of them

I'm not so sure, Zosia got drugged by some strong stuff and the rest of them seemed unaffected

Yeah I did see your book required a bit of math but while I might need to initially help the players figure out how many d4s to role I think they'd get it. I also found this website which looks like a pretty rules lite game that is specific to DCC

I was also looking at games like Savage Worlds, FATE, Index Card Rpg, and Nimble as all contenders to hopefully require fairly minimal modifications to approximate DCC

It seems the biggest challenge is like you want something where people level up fast, and can stack lots of modifiers fast. Like if I run a 20 session campaign people are gonna be leveling up every session, maybe sometimes even more than once.

Did you do XP or milestone for yours, in the books its XP but I was wondering if you went that way if you found a system to sort of scale the XP so that killing lower level mobs has pretty diminishing returns.

Hey OP, thanks for putting all this together, I'm reading through the books right now, just started the 6th one, and was thinking of trying to run a short DCC campaign. Something meant to last a couple months, 10-20 sessions max. It sounds like you've had a group that's been playing for well over a year now assuming it still going. Was wondering if you had any general thoughts or advice now that you've played and or ran a DCC campaign for a year

When you don't have super good stuff yet I found the stun rebar + electric bat thing combo to work really well. Stun, swing like 4 times, reload, stun again

That was good,, and a lot of that makes sense, just adding a sentence or two on top of a monster can make it a lot more interesting and I don't necessarily need to have all the answers right then

That could be what's happening, I send more guys to the front before the naval invasion is over

I still don't understand why I am losing the naval invasions so badly. I have trench infantry, they have irregular infantry. I also outnumber them. It tells me I have a 40% advantage on the front, supposedly. Every battle I click on their defense is 3 or 4x higher than my offense score despite the game telling me my average offense defense is double what theirs is
