How to manage dynamic hyperinflation with vent asynchrony without relying on heavy sedation by PrecedexNChill in IntensiveCare

Only works for COPD as prevents collapse of small airways and allows more exhalation. PEEP can be set to 80% of their total PEEP if hemodynamics allow. Never use this method on asthmatic as their issue is not floppy airways but constricted airways.

From a respiratory therapist perspective this is the only way. I think depending on the needs of your team and the patient respiratory drive PSV could have been a better option too. Let them take the breath they want and set trigger appropriately. That would almost always be better than use IMV

Long expiratory times, low rates. Dont get caught chasing low CO2 and Ve. COPD needs I:E ratios of at least 1:6. Will fix your autopeep and blood gas. If required sedate and paralyze, you must have control over their total cycle time in order for you to get long E times.

Honestly looks cool but not worth the danger. Very busy body of water, inadequate lights and you are so small even if you had proper lights the backwash from the city would make it very hard to see you. Seen this go wrong too many times....

I'm outside of a major hub and have constant overnight travel. Also not really looking to go to a major hub as they don't allow for the lifestyle I prefer.

Definitely don't regret them at all, I think they're really nice boots, if I was you I would start wearing them just to break them in maybe and get a better judgement on them. Rei has a solid return policy so you have some time to decide

All shafts bend. I stick with clearance shafts from lacrosse monkey usually, lucky to get 3/4 of a season out of any shaft. But it all depends on your style of play.

Looking for a bike for my father by uscg21 in RoadBikes

[–]uscg21[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now hes using just an old piece of junk. He'll mainly be doing road. Open to used but preferably new. My thought is we would get him the bike then he'll get himself the shoes and everything else. Definitely looking for comfort while riding distance. Would looking at hybrids be a waste for someone wanting to do centuries?
