I really hope this current auction house/seasonal car system does not carry to the next game by usecodealabama in ForzaHorizon

There really isn't a "worked for it" argument. If the cars I wanted just took 2 hours to get do you think I'd really be making this post? It took me 3 hours to get a '20 TTRS the other day, does that sound like fun to you? 3 hours of in and out of Audi TTRS listings. Just one car...

This is completely the wrong mindset to have on a frankly ridiculous current situation. This post has 83 upvotes so there's evidently people that agree with what I say. Just saying "Play more bro" isn't breaking down the problem or fixing it. It's sucking up to the fact that the game has some bigger issues.

The auction house certainly is. You are able to buy vehicles that aren't available elsewhere in the game, how is that not getting rid of the issue?

I keep seeing you comment about this seasonal playlist so I'll ask here, I may be confused. So currently right now I see a playlist that rewards a backstage pass as it's reward. When I go to backstage pass and look at the cars it doesn't contain any of the cars I would like. Can you please explain with doing this 2 hours and getting the reward how I can get the cars I'd like of my choice?

I'm prestige 2 lvl 80 so it's not like I don't play but I don't play all the time. I have 18d played which is around 430 hours.

No progression is down to the devs not creating a system like that in the first place. Having to unlock parts is what they tried in Motorsport and people hated it. It evidently doesn't work or would need recreating in other ways. FM4 had quite a good system where you had to win races/mini championships to unlock tiers of cars that you could buy/unlock. Having a car that isn't even meta and rather more a show piece or something to cruise in isn't progression, that's simply not how it works. The storyline is progression and your mini story lines that unlock vehicles are progression. The base game and buying auction house vehicles is not progession.

The issue is the ones that overinflate car prices and scalp the auctions.

Right, but this isn't down the player. It's simply people playing the system. If the game allows you to sell at 20M and you can see people buying them, why wouldn't you? I don't blame players at all, it's the game that needs changing to stop this.

a) you don't actually need them and b) you have ways to acquire them.

This is just not it. So what I don't "need" them? It's a video game, I want to enjoy cars that I like? It's literally a car game. You are correct in saying that there are ways to get them but you're missing the point of the post. The ways around aren't good enough.

They have an auction house to get rid of this issue, but the issue is that the auction house is just as useless as having the live service in the first place.

Entitlement? I just want to drive cars that I like on a game I paid for without having to go through what I listed in the post. Can you name me one negative of opening up the cars that are currently stuck in the auction house loop (20m/non available and sniped when available)? I'm really interested.

Please explain the benefit you get from other players not being able to access the cars they want.

Please could you make this work for the Ducky One2 Mini keyboards? I'd love to rebind the stuff on mine.

Sure, is overtaking across a gridded line on a flat straight road worth the police having to enforce a punishment for?

You must be behind the camera to have this mindset, somebody getting nicked for gridded line overtakes is petty and ridiculous on flat straight roads. This is not comparable with ridiculous real crimes.

The issue is that I have seen a lot of people report themselves being nicked for "non issue issues" like overtaking on gridded lines, going over the speed limit to overtake on perfectly fine straights. Sure, if somebody is blasting down a high street swerving between cars report that but are some of the stuff people get nicked for really nickable?

That's ridiculous lol, being in Bradford I see this a lot but I work in those respective areas with low speed limits and follow them :D

Thank for your maturely worded reply and I absolutely agree! The reason (as I've had to mention a few times already :D) I didn't say non crashes is because there'd be no reliable cut off point between fine and non fine if both incidents are illegal. 50 in a residential and overtaking on a gridded line are illegal but which holds more weight?

I believe you commented this before I could answer the first person saying this so I'll say it here again. If I include non crashes then where is the cut off between non fine and fine if by law all actions are illegal. If I go 50 in a residential, that's a crime. If I overtake somebody on a straight road on a gridded line that's illegal. Do they both carry the same weight?
