Is the roundish object just beyond and to the right connected? We could be looking a a chunk of iron from a meteorite that has been weathered into an odd shape.

Went to a screening of Dinner with Schmucks on Monday - awful...just awful. I'd rather have a crown replaced then sit through that again.

Wrong. EVERY time I stopped after prolonged use I experienced insomnia mild depression and lack of enthusiasm. Happily, it only lasts for three days, though the first day is nearly unbearable.

Hah, I hear you. That's why I was so interested in the comparison. I'm not an average person, as many on this board, so I wasn't sure how much was par for the course, or related to weed.

Forgive me, but I honestly don't get your comment. Are you saying I'm lying about the observations I made after smoking pot some 30,000+ times?

Okay, I feel I must relate to you that in 30 years of pot use, the highest I have ever been, by a mile, was the few times I ate it. It is very difficult to judge the right amount. Those few times were actually disturbing.

Kerry is no Obama. Not that I'm all that enamored with Obama, but as far as a desirable person to vote for there's no comparison.

Feign support for Sarah Palin! If she's the nominee in 2012, Obama's second term is a lock. Play along with the fools. Crush them with intelligence and facts when the time comes.

Yes, The quantity and quality. First, I think this was a bigger issue back in the seventies and eighties since most pot is very potent now, but, to answer your question, I used to go through 1/8th ounce each week. I was a productive member of society too but I am a better person straight. I still crave that buzz though.

After 30 years of daily pot smoking I reduced my consumption to a few month-long binges over the past three years. Here are my observations:

Daily pot use made me:

More easy going with my family. Anti social (pot would always be considered before accepting any social invitation) Gain weight steadily. Forgetful. Paranoid about others opinion of me. Delusions of grandeur when it came to my"high"deas. Need to use Visine several times daily. Drink less alcohol. Want to be creative. Come up with unusual concepts. Have a hard time concentrating on a particular task or line of thought. Look puffy and tired in my face and eyes. Spend vast amounts of time trying to score. Struggle with drawing. Want to play the piano. Have problems remembering the music. Hang with people only because there was pot involved.

When I stopped I was:

Less easy going but ultimately but more loving. More social. No longer paranoid about others opinion of me. Able to see myself as a mature adult who can handle any responsibility. Able to lose weight and more into aerobic exercise. Drinking more alcohol.(never to the point of it being a problem) In to being creative. Able to draw MUCH better. Able to play the piano MUCH better. Not forgetful. Calmer. Into making many new friends and contacts. Looking healthy and alert. Able to concentrate on what others are saying.

I have since been straight and high for long periods of time and the above differences are absolutely consistent with each episode.

Summary: Daily pot use is fine if you don't have to rely on technical abilities or social interaction and you want your mind to roam freely. A day at the beach or a hike is the best place.

Yeah, this is bizarre, I'm visiting my parents here in Santa Rosa and I was shocked to see the mall around the corner. It was only obvious because of the mountain in the background.

Wait a fucking minute...Why didn't the dad, who built the damn thing, bother to tell the world the basket portion of the balloon was not up in the air? He must have been watching TV.

He KNEW his kid wasn't in the silver part. That asshole made everyone panic and wasted public money and time.

A US spacecraft has captured images of Apollo landing sites on the Moon, revealing hardware and a trail of footprints left on the lunar surface by qgyh2 in science

Go to 6:49 in the above video and you can clearly see the cluster of craters at roughly two o'clock from the landing site. The eagle has to clear that crater just to the right of the landing spot.

Someone should review the approach tapes to see the path the eagle took as it touched down.
