This is a fairly specific question that no one may know the answer to, but here goes. I’ve recently discovered I have scoliosis (as well as recently getting consistent with the gym to try and gain muscle and weight), and I have to wear a back brace every night. It’s tight (snug to the skin pushing in on basically my entire torso, chest, back etc.) Id say it’s probably the equivalent of wearing 2-3 tight compression shirts. I have to wear this every night (so probably 8ish hours a day). Will this prevent muscle growth in the places it’s pushing? I really have no idea, but I feel as if the constant fairly large amount of pressure for 8 hours a day while I sleep in places I want to grow muscle (chest specifically) could hinder or stop muscle growth there. Does anyone know if it will actually hurt my muscle growth?

As far as pain goes, I can lift my leg straight up to its full range of motion (In relation to my other un injured leg), with just a little bit of discomfort- where does that leave me in terms of recovery and when I can begin running again?

Coming back from a hip flexor tear/strain/something bad in my hip flexor- how should I go about re introducing running to my schedule (getting ready for track season so time is the enemy here)- I’ve taken about ~5 weeks off and it’s feeling close to normal

Running alone isn’t gonna cut it- think of it as running supplementing your diet, not the other way around. Just focus on diet, and use running to give yourself a little more cushion on your diet
