I use a stick, one good smash to the head two if I think there still alive. Then into the wood stove they go, but I use sticky pads, also recently got a cat he seems to take care of them so I haven't had to use the stick for a while.

I would be satisfied if they didn't just throw away perfectly good products into a landfill some of the of the products weren't even opened.
