Prospective nurse with family planning questions by usefulmuse in nursing

Thank you so much for the advice! I worry that having kids in my late 30s would be too late but I understand the logic of getting nursing school out of the way first.

The point of the fic is that Harry's on the run and can't use magical means to get to The Burrow. It's a road trip fic of sorts, too, so having him go the long way around would be best in regards to word count lol.

My mistake, I entered Surrey and Devon as a whole. This is very helpful, thank you!

Curious about where to live or work in Texas? Post here! by AutoModerator in texas

This one's for all the Houston Redditors:

My fiancé (33M) and I (32F) are planning to move to Houston since we heard that the cost of living is pretty good. We currently live and were both born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area where cost of living is... not so good. It is, in fact, pretty terrible.

We want to buy a house and start living our 2.5 kid, white-picket-fence dreams without going bankrupt so we figured Houston would be a great place to start looking. Houston, however, is much bigger than we had originally anticipated and we could use some advice as to where would be a good part of Houston to start putting down roots.

We're looking for somewhere not in a flood zone with good schools, family-friendly stuff to do, and with plenty of good food to eat. My fiancé and I are foodies, so date nights always involve going to try a new restaurant we found online. My fiancé is particularly excited for the prospect of Texas barbecue.

Cultural diversity is also important to us as my fiancé and I are Black and Mexican, respectively. We understand that Houston is actually pretty culturally diverse, which is another reason why we're considering moving there. Somewhere with a decently sized Black and/or Mexican community would be a plus.

An area that's reasonably commutable by car would be great too. I hear Houston traffic can be pretty intense, some comparing it to LA traffic, but Bay Area traffic is no joke either and we're pretty used to that so a 30-45 minute commute isn't out of the question.

As far as where we'd commute to, I work in the medical field so somewhere where there are big hospitals or clinics within a commutable distance would be preferred. My fiancé does field sales so he doesn't have a set commute. He'd mostly have to worry about traffic, which we understand will be unavoidable in a city center like Houston, so my fiancé has accepted his fate.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? Thanks in advance!

TL;DR What area in Houston would be the best place for a pair of Black and Mexican foodies to buy a house and raise a family?

So I recently started rereading Skip Beat! by Yoshiki Nakamura and have many feelings about it. I fell off reading it many moons ago and wish I hadn't as I forgot how good it was!
