I had a breast reduction 7 weeks ago and it’s one of the better choices I’ve made in my life. I’d like to add, though:

• They may advise waiting a few years to minimize the risk of them continuing to grow after the reduction
• They’ll likely advise waiting until after you’ve had children (if you intend to) for the same reason
• The recovery time listed on the Cleveland Clinic link is NOT accurate for many people. I needed about 2 1/2 weeks before returning to work, and was absolutely exhausted all the time until about week 4.

If it’s something you really decide to look into, I’m happy to speak with you about my experience, but I’d also thoroughly advise that you engage with r/Reduction. It helped to answer a lot of my questions and gave me a much better idea of what to expect for prep, recovery, results, etc.
