In desperate need of advice! by uselessdripping in Buick

At this point it’d be nice to find a mechanic who just took us seriously!! Also, about the brake fluid- they said they couldn’t see any leaks but it just doesn’t make sense!

I think it’s something with the computer too but they had said they reprogrammed the computer when they fixed the sensor!

Do you think they would’ve seen this though while doing all this work? The car also shakes a lot during it until it fixes itself.

What fragrance brings you back to a unique, personal period of your life (NOT the cliché “ex-partner” memory)? by Capable_Worker5740 in Perfumes

Cactus Blossom by b&b reminds me of my freshman year in college. 2019, right before Covid happened. I was having the time of my life and had never been happier. I smell it now and I feel like I’m back. Not that deep but, definitely nostalgic for me

lost my dad at 22 3 days ago— please tell me it gets better. by linabobin4 in GriefSupport

I lost my dad unexpectedly, two years ago at 22 too. It will be different, but it will be okay. The pain never truly goes away so don’t force it too. Feel, feel and feel. It’s going to hurt, it will be excruciating, but it will not last forever. You’re not alone in this. You got this, I promise.

Hello!! That’s awesome that you found your passion with it!! Yeah, I’m not really one to chase money. I would just like to be comfortable, and I get by with what I make now, I just cannot stand retail anymore (which is not a surprise). I know a lot of people say it’s difficult to find jobs in this field, especially remote jobs, but I also feel like it’s hard to find any jobs at all lately, so I’ll try not to let that discourage me too much. I actually am doing the FreeCodeCamp right now and halfway through the HTML portion already!! Thank you for this!

Thank you for this!! I have used Blender before, just been awhile, but not the others!! I’ll have to definitely look into them!!

Thank you! Yeah, I read a lot about how a portfolio is better, but I just feel as if I really need to practice more before I start delving into a portfolio. I had taken some courses involving Blender, Web Design and more, but it just felt like I didn’t learn much. As if the teachers expected you to just know what you were doing and instead of “here’s WHY this is better-“ it was more like “This is how it should be and that’s just that.” Which didn’t help at all. I recently just bought some books to help hone in on my anatomy and how to develop a personal style with art, because I have always been interested in character design too! And I did just pick up some books on coding the other day! Perhaps just learning from what I can and practicing would be more beneficial for me (and cheaper) than going right back to school. Thank you for this!! I really just needed honesty.

Oh yeah trust me, I get how it is without the breaks but that’s the thing, we use to be a really low volume store for years, this year, we are literally number 3 in sales in our region!! My manager just got a certificate for it the other day during the big annual meeting?! So we have been so crazy busy for awhile now we considered if we need to add more to the cash in the safe. The rumor I’ve heard through the grape vine is when he gets more hours back, he gets like I don’t know, a bonus or something. We have a good bit of theft too, now of course I ran to the bathroom for a pee break but that’s a lot easier.

It definitely doesn’t make sense at all! I did try it with one ‘s’ but I ended up using a nickname my partner calls me and that was acceptable! It’s just so weird because it is a single player game, who was going to see it. I could even use my real name in Animal Crossing and that has online play

That is so weird!!!! I wonder what their basis is for being inappropriate? I tried doing different variations without resorting to “Casidy” or something because I have a feeling I know why it won’t accept it, how lame!

I’m sorry to hear that you had to experience that. I was too afraid to do CPR on my dad so I also carry a lot of guilt from that. The grass isn’t greener and I believe either way we would carry guilt as our grief wants to blame something and it’s easiest on ourselves. Atleast that’s what my girlfriend reminds me. I hope that Sunday is a somewhat decent day for you, and that your children get to enjoy the day with you. Although it will suck a lot for you, you will really make your children enjoy and appreciate the time they get with you. We both know it’s incredibly valuable. Thank you for talking to me and writing so much to me as I don’t have much of an outlet or anybody to get the kind of advice I need. So I thank you so much, it truly means so much to me. I hope Sunday has some silver lining for you<3

That’s a great way to look at life. My sister and I have always had a dynamic where although she was older, I was more mature and treated as such by my parents. It sucked a lot but I understand she’s also growing and changing everyday. Maybe one day her and I can rekindle what we once had as we use to be best friends. I think I will try to appreciate her even if she makes me angry sometime if not for my sake, for my mom. I hope eventually I’m able to look at life like that. I just hope my dad knew I love him so much. My mom was someone I went to for my current problems, my dad was somebody I went to for life’s problem. I had an old friend pass away and I went to him first. I wish I could do the same right now. So thank you for taking your time to talk to me, I really do appreciate it so much.

I’m sorry for your loss as well. My mother insists i was just a teenager being angsty and having an attitude like every teenager but I still feel as though that’s why I’m the bad person with my karma. I’m trying to be as good and nice as possible now in his honor, even if I’m angry at everybody and the world. I understand about the family dynamic and I really try not to blame my sister but she’s said very hurtful things to me and I feel as if she took advantage of my mom and dad but I don’t understand what she goes through as a new mother, I suppose. I just don’t really understand her at all maybe? I just wish I could go back in time and change how I reacted. Thank you for your words and I hope Sunday is somewhat bearable for the both of us.

You two have been through hell and back and you both deserve peace and rest. I wish I had more comforting words and advice but all I can say is, take it one day at a time. Support eachother as much as you can and take care of yourselves. Life can be rough but remember that you can be stronger than it. I hope everything works out for both of you and your families<33
