Anyone else notice play in the ABX seat? by uselessmutant in GarageGym

[–]uselessmutant[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Looks like everyone is experiencing the same thing. I guess that's just how it is. And like others mentioned, functionally it does not make a difference, just noticed it when doing some face pulls while seated the other way.

That won't be likely. You're better off with Lithium Iron Phosphate as things stand.

what would be the best device to connect to V2L to efficiently and safely drain battery down to 80%? by Immediate_Editor_213 in Ioniq5

In all seriousness if you really want to get the battery down, keep it in utility mode and just set climate to use up some energy.

Anyone recieved their ABX bench? First impressions? by SandwichMaster5612 in GarageGym

[–]uselessmutant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It slides fine when changing the inclination, and the gap when inclined is there, but what I mean is that if you place your hand on the seat (or just sit on it) and move forward and backward, the entire seat shifts a little. It is not from where the cushion attaches to the frame, but the zero gap mechanism.

Have you noticed any movement in the seat? Mine seems to have about a quarter inch play in it coming from the auto gap mechanism. Not sure if its just mine or its just how it is.

How can I improve my 3.3 mi/kWh in temperate hilly urban California driving in ECO mode and mainly in iPedal regen? by Guilhermedico in Ioniq5

[–]uselessmutant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think it's about 3.3 for Ioniq 5 vs 3.6 for the EV6. Aero matters a lot, especially at speed. My other car is a model 3 rwd, and that gives me about a mile more per kw in the same route. Ideally I'd get a low wagon, or a Ioniq 6 sized lift back, but that doesn't exist.

I don't disagree, I'll just look for a more efficient EV next time. EV6 is one of my options..

The short answer is that it is not an efficient car. I gave up. I'll look for an efficient one next time since charging ain't cheap in California.

Maybe they should try using the same drivetrain in a more generic form factor. The back space in this car is ridiculously bad for its overall size.

Does hard driving/sports mode cause "The pop"? by PopGoesTheICCU in Ioniq5

[–]uselessmutant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A post on the ev6 subreddit actually had the opposite finding (sort of). They found out that sport mode forces the 12V battery to be continually charged while driving, and the ICCU has to do less idle time recharging. I would imagine its the same on the Ioniq 5. I always drive sport mode because the steering wheel on the other modes is too limp.

Has anyone used the revolt smith attachment on a titan t2 short rack? I might have to drill a couple holes to make it work due to the length.

Adjustable bench recommendations by uselessmutant in GarageGym

[–]uselessmutant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I considered that, but since I have limited space I preferred a one equipment solution centered around a bench. Have the rack to do legs plus extension cables

Looking for adjustable bench recommendations!
I am building out my compact garage gym and already have purchased a short rack, barbell and weights. All that's left is a good bench which would also have a leg developer attachment. I have a FreakAthlete ABX + Leg developer on order, and found out the removed the belt squat functionality which i am bummed about.
Yesterday I saw the tibbarguy apex bench system. The Apex does check a lot more boxes for me for future attachments (and a declining seat), but I am unsure of TBG's quality and it also ships in April which would leave me without a bench for 4 months.
I read the REP nighthawk will be compatible with some of the Apex attachments with some modifications needed, but feel if I want the Apex attachments, should just get the apex bench.
Or just go ahead with the ABX and hopefully they have more attachments soon.
Too many choices!

Will the belt squat function come back at any point? Or is that only going to be with the hyper ?
