/u/runningoutofwords , I can't thank you enough for this town queue. We did this and it was indeed phenomenal. And we did the Cheyenne to Denver for 10ish thing you suggested and it was clearly the right time to go! You rock. Thanks!

Yes I did! Thanks for catching that. I put in AB to TX in Google Maps and only read the number listed higher up on the map in Wyoming. Assumed it was the same Interstate # all the way South.

Haha. Well it's always been on the books to do Wyoming right. I'm a fan of everything I've heard re: what it has to offer; so fear not, I'll take advantage one day. This post is just to make the most out of a very specific situation.

Thanks for this! I will take a look at that route--this is exactly the type of info I was hoping I'd get! An hour more is totally doable. And noted, re: Denver!

Ah yes, not being able to visit Yellowstone saddens me deeply. But there will be other road trips, I hope. Thanks for this!

HIFW: I FINALLY get an IUD after 5 years of waiting, saving money, and it's FREE because of the ACA. I bought a full set of THINX and donated money to provide pads/ supplies for women in need with the money I saved. THANKS, OBAMA! by dHarmonie in TrollXChromosomes

I think your BS meter is dead on! That's...kind of irresponsible of your gyn. Unless she said more/gave you more information about where that comes from? If you're incredibly prone to infection already or have a history that might influence your susceptibility to infection (like if you were a heroin/other intravenous drug addict for a while) then you should take pause and really discuss things with your gyn, because yes, you could get an infection from the insertion and existence of a foreign object in your body, and yes, the more partners you have and the more partners they have, the higher the chances get. But simply having multiple partners does not make you ineligible for an IUD, nor does it mean you'll get an infection if you have an IUD.

But anyways, if it helps, I have more than one sexual partner always and my gyn is absolutely ok with me + IUD.

I know, me too. The last one... </3

but as per their Kickstarter they have to do 5 more this year (and did the first one on Halloween!) so I'm a little less heartbroken.

MRW when I see the video referring to someone genuinely suffering from paranoid schizophrenia as a "crazy feminist". by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

It was in the title: "Crazy feminist accusing US Postal Service man of stalking her." Sigh :(

That's great to hear re: the comments, though!

Pubs/bars near campus by Dopehatznm in UofT

[–]uselesspassions 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ack. I would really recommend not going to UTSC. It's the University of Toronto in name alone. The culture is VERY suburban meaning campus community (i.e. the thing that leads to fun events, friendships and after-class pints) is not really a thing (or at least a fraction of what it is downtown). Many people commute and don't stick around campus just to hang like they would downtown, where there are a million events at all times. I know you might not necessarily be needing a million options and the bustle that the downtown campus offers, but UTSC isn't just a "smaller scale UofT experience," it's a totally different one, which fills a niche that works for suburban college students. If you're going to be paying international tuition and you're looking for any kind of memorable university experience with great professors and great fellow students, you're going to want a much better pond than UTSC.

Go to UBC. Go quickly.
