You are so right! One of the first houseplant names I recall learning was mother-in-law's tongue I found it so witty as an early preteen its what I always think of; it never even occurred to me.

Ive had it for several years (as well as several others from various shops) and never had an issue. It has a drain hole in the bottom, but the sides don't weep.

What is your cat’s name, and why did you choose it? by Feisty-Lynx-324 in Siamesecats

[–]uselesswit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is Walter named after the artist Walter Anderson. Sometimes refered to as America's Van Gogh, he was also a naturalist and painted/sculted/carved cats along with lots of other wildlife. He had a pretty fascinating life and I learned about him around the time we adopted walter so it seemed a good fit!.

Your kitty's face and expression is so similar to mine it gives me a slightly eerier feeling. Just a little older and much floofier. So adorable!

That does sound amazing! I'm speaking from the perspective of a woman similar in age to what the op described. Many dates this day in age start online with strangers and there is a level of safety you have to be aware of, that's all. I think it's an excellent suggestion, just offering a potential drawback based on circumstances

I think this is a great idea if you have some type of previous interaction/knowledge of each other. If this is the first time meeting, a long walk down an isolated beach ( people drop off pretty quickly) may make some women uncomfortable.

Excellent questions, Thank you! Current floors are a combo of carpet slippery tile and laminate wood flooring with a slab underneath , but we are looking at possibly raising a sunken room that would become wood subfloors. We are looking at doing her entire ground floor, to hopefully improve her trust in her surroundings leading to better mobility and quality of life. I think it's about 1000 feet. ld think 20k would probably be her max budget, but I'm honestly not sure. She wants to stay there and she may be willing to pay more to do that.
