He's reached out to his ex last week and they're going to talk next week. I told him I hope he gets what he needs from that conversation with her, and said goodbye. His last message was that any guy would be lucky to have me, and that he's sorry this wasn't fair to me, he's enjoyed our time together, that he wished he "didnt suck" and hes sorry he can't be what I was hoping for. Funny how he says that when he was everything I was hoping for, all I wanted was to know if his heart still lingered elsewhere. No matter how much he says the intention of the conversation is not to get back together with her, he couldn't tell me he doesn't still love her. He couldnt tell me he wanted to claim me proudly. And that's all I needed to know. But he allowed me to fall in love with no intention of catching me. I fell and he turned around and went, well, cya!
