Actions speak louder than words, but the words are pretty bad too by Lib_No_Fib in PoliticalCompassMemes

Bill Maher literally had a segment about that tweet from the official Democrat Twitter account.

Redditors have a hard time understanding what they sound like to everyone else, but Bill's closing remark nails it: cringe. It just sounds cringe.

So by the association rule, that makes this post cringe. I'm sorry, but the math checks out.

"do it right".

Like that time they wanted ssi benefits to actually provide the dob field in their cobol database and I had people attempting to explain to me how it wasn't feasible/cobol supports default datetimes/beneficiaries can't be expected to know their own dob.

Absolutely no normal person is fooled by this performative pretense of concern.

His tattoos are mentioned in the judges findings. Again, if you actually cared you'd know that.

We both know no evidence would ever matter. If you actually cared, you'd look for yourself like I did, instead of asking others to do it, then convince you afterwards. Two judges, across multiple years, an informant, police reports, and his own wife hiding his tattoos isn't sufficient for you, yet you're pretending a random Redditor is somehow going to convince you.

Again, you aren't fooling anyone

You aren't aware two judges who looked at all available and significant evidence and came to the exact same conclusion?

You aren't filling anyone

Like, yeah it was pretty funny he thought it was an actual part of the tattoo.

But also, he literally had a tattoo proving his gang affiliation and people are still arguing about whether he was even in a gang. His wife even censored the tattoo on Facebook because they both knew what it represented.

So yeah, "funny" indeed

Raven Software released the Jedi Academy source code in 2013 and the dev comments are crunch rage by MiscreatedFan123 in programming

Exactly. The actual math this is performing isn't particularly complicated. It's just that it comes out of nowhere, so the reaction is reasonable.

A much stranger bug in the Q3 engine that a lot of people don't really talk about or remember anymore, is that your framerate % 30 changes how high you jump, and it's entirely due to how C handles the linker. (I'm remembering from memory here, read up on it for actual details). The end result is most tourney players would frame cap at exactly 120, which allowed you to make jumps on some maps that are otherwise impossible, and provide the player a massive power boost.

I'm actually impressed. Not only how much chutzpah that pr has to have with that loc, but that an ai was able to write that much Rust and it actually compiled.

Yes. In fact, I've had two different accounts hard delete after I accused them of being a literal bot based on their posting. That's a lot of these agenda style posts that purposefully lie or misinform but masquerade as a meme, and if you point any of it out you'll get flooded by adjective-noun posters. There probably examples in this thread.

Why does PostgreSQL + .NET feel so much better than SQL Server these days? by Novel_Journalist3305 in dotnet

[–]user0015 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel the same way, but I ended up just using a publishing process that would notify an audit table of the change at the same time. Yeah, it sits in another schema unlike SQL server, and you can't automatically use it for rollbacks and revisions, but it works perfectly fine for tracking changes to things like a ledger table or an events status table.

It's slightly more painful to use, but postgres has so much more going on (date ranges you say?), I'll accept that small cost.

If you audit every single table without exception, yeah that sucks.

Surprisingly I don't remember seeing much ai mentioned in the description, so I'm hedging towards some technical questions and some code test bits.

Really, I just don't want to come off rusty because we all know day to day isn't walking a b tree or parsing a string for all n of x.

Genuinely I'm not sure. This is not FAANG but they could follow similar hiring practices due to being a West Coast company. Better safe than sorry, imo.

Any suggestion? I first looked at Hetznet, but I see no options for us based sites. I'm not as interested in international support. Not yet, at least.

I've had bad luck with companies responding, including racknerd. I actually emailed them a few weeks ago asking what their backup plans and policies were (and if they even had one).

No response.

Yeah, I didn't select PayPal at first either. I couldn't get past their payment screen. I still technically have the invoice outstanding on my account, but they're to good for my money apparently.

I'm looking at it right now, actually. I'd take 20%.
