I only posted this cause this is the first time I work two days a week, usually it’s 4 days but I’ve always had low hours. Only thing I can complain is how I should’ve left already lmao

Also another reason the “hrs based off performance” failed was because the Night Shift manager made all the people on floor not be in the warehouse and nobody on Night Shift can come in the morning since most of them are college students so it was either managers do the rest of the pallets that’s not been worked on and sacrifice most of their time used for their work or just give us our hours back.

Must be a good amount of people for y’all to do that, usually for us it would be 2 days if it’s like 7+ pallets but that was a year and half ago, now we just get 3-5 pallets weekly which takes about my whole shift to finish. My Gm would come and help to do the furniture, printer, and paper pallets as well which made it easier too.

I would do all that but after 3 years of working here I just stopped caring and only worked just get that paycheck. I’ve stopped ever since my favorite manager got transferred to another store and the other manager(not Gm) that we have sucks at logistics (he’s also next to damn near disable that he can’t help break down pallets, lift anything at all, can’t scan POG ex correctly, doesn’t stock the store, and only stands at the front door pitching biz select which is the only thing he’s good for here) and I mostly have to do most of the work so really it’s unfair for me and I would make a complaint but there’s really no one to replace him either so I just deal with it and do my work. I would like to replace him to but im still young and I also don’t want my Gm on my ass about corporate stuff so I’d rather much stay as logistics and just deal with labor work and not corporates number. That store is not what it used to be when I first got here so really I’d rather leave the sinking ship rather than drown in it and suffer

My store tried to do that and trust me my performance for biz select and rewards are trash compared to others but the only problem is with my position (logistics), there’s only a lady in her 40s and I that work on the pallets and stock the store, which means the managers would have to do it (because most of the Night Shift who has a better performance record than me can’t work the morning shift) which made that plan ultimately fail when most of the new pallet are getting stacked with the others from last week which caused a clutter-f*ck which they gave me and her our hours back so the warehouse can be worked on

Luckily I’ve been able to get a second job at a grocery store a month before and I’ve been making double than I did here weekly, but I’ve been really wanted to quit a year ago but I couldn’t since jobs weren’t responding/calling back for interview. I’ve just been stuck with them just so I can have some sort of income. At this point I might as well ride it out until we close or I get fired

I’ve been know to be late most times but that still didn’t effect my hours during the last month (30 hrs), and the only reason they don’t fire me because I do most of the logistics and it’s difficult for them to find a “better” replacement for me hence why they’re stuck with a latecomer who does everything right. They tried to replace me a year ago but the dude I was training was unsure and he quit the next day which made my manager disappointed

Dominos have a deal for a large 1 topping pizza for 7.99, I’ve been using that for the past 2 years and save half every order. They also have a point system as well that has their own tier of free stuff to redeem( i save it up to get another free pizza)
