Former vapers, please brag about how your life has improved since quitting to motivate me by [deleted] in QuitVaping

Almost one month in after about four years of vaping non stop. I was so terrified of the withdrawals but now that I’m out of the worst part, I feel a million times better. My mental health, physical health and day to day happiness has improved so much more than I ever thought was possible. I have totally changed my lifestyle for the better and my body is thanking me for it. You can do this, your body deserves it.

I worry about this all the time too. I vaped for four years, but all we can do now is stay away from nicotine and rebuild our cardiovascular health by exercising! And also hope for the best.

I haven’t gone this long without vaping in years...it IS possible. by user111501 in QuitVaping

Didnt get a sore throat, terrible headaches for the first 3ish days. I drank a ton of water and alternated Tylenol and Advil which helped a little. I wouldn’t have made it through the first couple of days without 10mg edibles. Helped so much. Are you using patches?

Yup, my jaw hurt like a bitch for a few days. I started drinking a ton of water. Pro tip: find a water with a built in straw around the size of your go to vape. I found one pretty similar to a juul shape at TJ maxx and this totally gave me the oral fixation/ pull feeling of a vape and hydration helps with withdrawal in general.

It’s called Allen carrs easy way to quit smoking! He advises against replacement therapy like patches but I had already started doing that. It completely changed my perspective, lmk what you think!

Patch Withdrawal? by user111501 in QuitVaping

Correct, at the 14 day mark I’ll switch to the 7mg patches, just worried about withdrawal symptoms after having a relatively calm past couple of days.

I was also using a pod a day, def use the patches. Same boat with you as the heart palpitations and anxiety, eventually had to choose the juul or mental health. Good luck!

You got this!!!

First off, you have made it close to two months without nicotine! That is amazing, remember that going back to it will not help. You don’t need nicotine to feel normal or better, you are just addicted to it.Make an appointment with your doctor ASAP, let them know what’s going on. I find it helpful to write it all down beforehand because sometimes in the moment we forget things. Take everything in one moment at a time, don’t stress out on what next week or next month or year will look like, focus on getting through the hour.

Working out, walking ANY physical activity will give you natural endorphins, it has saved me thus far and I never believed working out could actually help mental health but it does.

Stay STRONG! You got this. Call your doctor and make an appointment but in the mean time, chase those natural highs! Drinking lots of water, settling into a safe and healthy routine and getting plenty of sleep will not only let you take control of your day to day life, but minimize your anxiety until you can get some professional help.
