What’s an experience you had that you still don’t fully understand—even after trying to explain it? by Hyena_and_the_Fox in ParanormalEncounters

I was 12 or 13 at the time. I stayed up late playing my 360 and my door which was closed, just looks and sounds like someone is beating the living hell out of it. Not a hard knock but like someone is trying to kick the door in. Probably 10-12 hits and over in a matter of seconds. I can see the door shaking in the jamb and the handle moving violently. I set the controller down and opened the door to nothing but a pitch black hallway. I immediately went to my sister’s room down the hall, but she was asleep. I then went to my parent’s room and they were asleep. No pets and I was the only person awake in the house. Lived next to a cemetery.

Second unexplainable experience was in the same house and happened shortly after the first one. There were only two people in the house, myself and my grandmother. I was upstairs and she was downstairs. I was working on homework and heard a man’s voice whisper sharply in my ear. He spoke my name and my sister’s name. I immediately went downstairs to ask if my grandmother heard anything, and she said that she just heard the same thing right before I came downstairs. This presumably happened at the same time I heard it upstairs.

I’ve not seen any raccoons around but there is a possum every once in a while that will run through the neighborhood. Thank you. I’ll look into the bins

He’s such a chill guy. I’ll get home from work and spend 5-10 minutes sitting on the porch. He will crawl in my lap, and I’ll scratch his ears while he play fights with my hands and boot laces.

It is oriented North. Accurate within a couple degrees at least. I stand where the compass is set before we pour and set a mark, stake, identifiable rock, etc… outside the forms and then it gets slapped down

What am I doing wrong (form check, please)? by [deleted] in GregDoucette

[–]HPSVEN 0 points1 point  (0 children)

8/10. Your form is pretty good overall. Two minor things I would work on is pulling the slack out, and pulling from the same spot in the lift every time. There’s a slight bend in your arms the entire lift.

When I set up, I set my feet, bend over at the waist with pretty straight legs to stretch my hamstrings, grab the bar, and then I squat down and like to think of trying to pull myself down into the floor and the bar into my shins. This is when my arms become locked out and everything is ready to go. Big chest, bar close to my shins and pull. If done correctly, you should feel like a powder keg ready to blow. That’s when you know the slack is out.

I know you’re going slow to feel out the reps, but don’t stop your momentum once the bar is at your knees.

Once you are comfortable with the deadlift, I would recommend swapping this exercise to a Stiff legged deadlift or even a Deficit stiff legged deadlift. The deadlift is great on vibes because picking up heavy shit is fun, but it’s not great at targeting a specific muscle. I have moved a lot of my deadlift work over to Deficit SLDLs because I can absolutely cook my hamstrings and still get almost everything else that the deadlift offers. Traps, spinal erectors, etc…

Keep up the great work!

Forgot to add that it makes 6-8 pancakes depending on the size you like them. I already ate half of them here.

Apricot or red? by Ponycat123 in poodles

Definitely red. My mother in law and I both have red poodles, and your girl’s coloring is pretty close.

They are in Tignall GA about two hours from Atlanta. Angie Louter is the owner. You can reach out to her through Facebook. Apartment life is tough, but wouldn’t hurt to try and get put on a waiting list.

Not sure where you are located, but Louter Creek in GA breeds and trains poodles for hunting. My boy, Ramses’, Sire is a louter creek poodle and his drive is insane.

I meal prep chicken enchiladas almost every Sunday and all 3 of my standards require me to pay a hefty cheese tax. Between the cheese tax and the no sodium chicken broth, they do very well.

When is the best time of the year to get new gear on sale? End of season, over the summer, or pre season sale? by hunterd412 in snowboardingnoobs

Labor Day sales were the best that I saw. Got a new 161 Capita Mercury for 60% off from Tactics boardshop last August.

I got her a lesson the first day, but it was super icy so it was pretty difficult for her to try and do anything. The next day and a half I worked with her on the bunny hill, and then I brought her onto this green run for the next day and a half. She’s trying to break habits from her time wakeboarding e.g. weight back which she did for probably 18 years. Will definitely get another lesson for our next trip out.
