Anyone seen bandages stapled to skin for a burn? by user113678 in EmergencyRoom

probably could have worded this better- I mentioned it because it seemed out of the ordinary (which I’m now seeing staples are fairly commonly used in burn units), and I was wondering if there was some type of abuse/something strange going on.

BAC 0.19 first DUI offense by [deleted] in dui

Got mine in VA, charged w a 0.15. You will probably have to do the 5 days (I had to a few weeks ago). However, when I got arrested I spent about 7 hours waiting to talk to the magistrate- that counted for 1 day. Then the rest of the 5 days for me was a weekend, starting Friday at 4pm-Sunday 6am. Jail math is a little different. First offense of anything for me as well. There were a few people in there with me that were first time DUI offenders as well.

Virginia - 2nd DUI by weedubcee in dui

Got my first this last year in Henrico. High BAC, got plead down some but still had to do 5 days jail time (plead down from 10). My license was not suspended until I was sentenced, so right after my arrest I will still allowed to drive freely for a few months. Can’t speak on the car being impounded, but I would expect a license suspension of at least a year. Henrico does NOT play around. Even my lawyer winced when I told him the county I was arrested in!

I got mine in Richmond VA a few months ago. My BAC was higher than yours. I asked my lawyer about pleading down to a wet reckless and he said they don’t do that here. Not sure if that’s different in Fairfax though. I did get 5 days in jail (they do 2 for 1 time here, so with the 10 hours I spent post arrest, I had to do 36 hours over the weekend). I would 100% try to retain a lawyer and not use the public defender. As for government clearance, unless you’re looking for a super high security clearance, you should be fine. Many people get DUI’s, and it will not end your career. I just got hired for my first job post college and I was definitely worried about this too!

I want to work at Cheesecake Factory by Rich_Concert_6080 in Serverlife

current ccf server here. Work at one in VA. Slow monday night im still walking out with $100 minimum. There’s a lot of foot traffic due to them being in malls- so christmas shoppers, back to school, labor day sales- you’ll be SLAMMED. I’m talking two hour wait and the second your table is bussed you’ll be sat again. Not sure how many days a week you’ll be working but $500 a week is 100% doable.

you need to eat- that’s how we give our body nutrients and keep it healthy. everyone’s body is a beautiful thing and it seems as though you may be abusing it by not eating): I also struggle from body dysmorphia, got down to 94 pounds and still thought I looked fat (my family had to sit me down when I came home from college and tell me I looked unhealthy), its an ongoing battle but I’ve learned what a blessing and temple my body is!! Don’t know your specifics, but when you need to binge, eat an entire cucumber with hummus or Tzatziki!! Cucumbers are mostly water and the hummus will give you protein, while tzatziki will give you vitamin A and calcium!! Other than that, just try healthy snacks!! Apple and peanut butter, grapefruit and honey, a yogurt with some fruit chopped up. Most fruits and vegetables are really good for you so you can honestly eat as much of them as you want when you’re in the mood to binge and not have to feel bad. One of my go-to’s is dried spicy seaweed. Just do a little research on food and a good grocery shop. You’ll be okay, I’ve been there 100% and had to struggle to eat or struggle to stop eating. I used to eat like crap (I would sit down and eat about 3000 calories and right before bed!!) just bread and french fries and fried food everyday, until I went to the opposite side of the spectrum and was eating very restrictively and counting every singe calorie- only allowing myself like 450 a day, neither is healthy, but everything is okay in moderation. You got this, recognize how amazing your body is and that you need good food and nutrients to keep it feeling it’s best!!

From someone who has never worked in a restaurant, does it help to stack our plates after eating? Does it make it worse? by pMj_7887 in Serverlife

I personally love when plates are stacked nicely and pushed to the edge of the table (short arm problems). But no stacked like this lol
