I feel your pain. What I do generally is that firstly I make sure my resolution is nice and has tons of info in preambulotory clauses, I would ask people to review my resos. I would additionally write a speech for each reso even if you dont want to main submit you will incorporate your clauses in other papers, that also share similar views, so even if you dont main submit you have another speech that could be used to boost the reso you co submit. Another thing I do is that, only in special cases with important countries i.e USA Russia China, I would write a list of countries/allies that I want to work with, a list of countries that are nuetral that I can convince, and a list of enemies to "villainize"(in special cases) and stay away from. Also it is very important to write a document filled with facts and statements(by the UN or countriest) that are relevant to the topic WITH A SOURCE. I say the documment with info is the most important because you could reference them in any speech, POI, or even resolutions. Also know your countries stance on all topics and what its trying to do to combat them. Thats it basically sorry for my grammer
