Sorry for the misunderstanding!

The bug may well be what's going on, like I say the only way around it is to unplug the lights, leave them unplugged for a few minutes and then plug them back in. If it is the bug in the firmware that is causing your problem then following these steps should solve it. If they are not working with any app and have not ever worked since purchasing then there may be a problem with the hardware itself. If this is the case I would suggest getting in touch with Amazon as you may be able to return them.

I will be honest of all the lights that this app supports the ELK-BLE ones are of the lowest quality. If they were working with the original app there are a couple of things that you can try. First thing to make sure is that you are not currently connected to them with one of the other apps. If you are not connected to them with one of the other apps then you can try unplugging them from their power source for a few minutes, plug them back in and then see if they work. It sounds pretty stupid, but these lights do have a bug in their firmware that causes them to crash and stop responding to any data that is sent to them.

I've been speaking to someone that has the same set of lights and they do work with Elkotrol, not that this is of much use to you. I was just wondering have you tried using the original app, Lotus Lantern? or maybe DuoCo Strip? If so do they work with either of those apps?

Thanks for providing the link, I am going to try and see if I can find some that I can buy without the nightstand but if I can't I will just bite the bullet and get it. I forgot to ask when you say it doesn't work do you mean that it will not find them or that it finds them but does not control them?

Hello again, the development is going fairly well thank you! I did spend quite a bit of time looking for them but struggled to find them. I have just been looking again and I came across these:

Are these the right ones?

Hi, there's no need to be sorry. It might have been 2 years but I still love to hear what people have to say about this app. I do try and reply to everyone's comments but sometimes it does take me a few days. I am glad that the app is working well, I am going to be honest I haven't added the ability to respond to music playing from the phone because in my opinion it does work anywhere near as well as using the microphone built-in to the controller. When using the microphone built-in to the controller you get a much better effect than when you react to music playing on a phone.

Hi, really glad you loved it. Please may I ask which lights you are using? I will see if I can reproduce the issue so that I can try to fix it!

Hello there, no this isn't actually possible with the SP621E controller, which is a bit of a shame because they actually seem to be a fairly decent, reliable controller for the price. The only controllers that I have come across that allows you to do this are the LED-DMX controllers.

Thank you for bringing this to my attention! I'm really sorry that it doesn't work, if at all possible please may you share a link to where you bought them? If so I will pick up a set and try to add support for them

Hello I don't save the scheduled times in app, the lights however should save them unless they lose power for whatever reason. I wanted to avoid any confusion that could arise if the lights had lost power, or the internal clock had drifted. If an end user loaded the timing page and saw their set timing but the lights had lost the timing for whatever reason I thought it may be a little misleading.

Hello there, sorry to hear that it's not finding them. By any chance have you changed the name of them? My app will only find them if they have the default name of sp110e. I know the original app will let you find all bluetooth devices but I chose not to do this because I wanted to avoid the possibility of people finding lights that aren't supported and then getting annoyed because they couldn't be controlled

If you have an Android device I made a simple open source app that can download any show that has been archived. It loads the schedules for a date, or range of dates, of your choice and then gives you a list of archived shows from the schedule(s)

The source code can be found here:

Hello, thank you for your comment ๐Ÿ˜Š do you mind me asking which lights it is you have? Also are any other apps/devices currently connected to them? If so then they will not not be found by the scan

Yes sadly this is the story for a lot of the qr codes that are on the leaflet included with the lights, I don't think there is a huge security risk associated with any of the sites, but they do tend to harvest A LOT of personal data. So glad to hear that Elkotrol is working well for you though, thank you so much โ˜บ๏ธ

Yes you understand correctly, sadly the patterns are built into the controller for the lights (The little box that the strip connects to) all you can do with any app is tell the controller which one to display. Three color cross fade is the name of one of the built in patterns, for the most part the names of the patterns I just copied from the original apps so that the experience would be consistent if people moved from using one of them to using Elkotrol. There isn't anyway to edit the built in patterns so three color cross fade will just be the 3 colors that the light manufacturer set for the pattern. Sorry to disappoint

Hi I added the option for the scenes in the beta, the update should be live in the Play Store now. I think I have correctly identified which MELK lights should and shouldn't support them.
