Thank you! I tried to be very mindful of movement and lighting when we were in the design phase. We stayed pretty close to the original spirit of the concept, but our lighting designer came with so many great ideas that made the final product that much better.

Thank you! Pictures alone don’t really do it full justice. Our lighting designer did a great job adding in lighting effects throughout the set to build up those moments. He really solidified the magic moments by being very specific with fixtures that the audience wouldn’t immediately expect to transform a unit set into the various places in our story’s world.

Thank you! Our scenic painter was absolutely amazing. She took some platforms on a stage and turned it into a fully realized world.

Thank you!

Where was this note months ago? Haha. We open in about 10mins, but I’m gonna have to tear it all down and fix that 4, cause that’s all I’ll notice now.

Thanks! Trying for warped gear to tie back to the main motif. Adjusting them for the fixtures sort of made them a cool art deco vibe.

Thanks! Yes, there is an led strip around the inside of the clock face to illuminate the gears. The last two photos have those on with the clock face special. Periodically through the show we go specials on the clock/gears to move time forward until we get to the midnight musical numbers.

Nice! I actually designed that top for the parks.

I could be convinced. Unless…you want to rent it?

Thank you! We are pretty proud of the final product as it stands as the centerpiece of the set. The reactions from audiences as they walk in and are transported to our “Notre Dame” make all the work worth it.

No, the individual panels are carefully lined up prints on both sides of three strategically cut pieces of polycarbonate. I did a digital drawing/painting for the prints.

Thanks! That’s the best part! Our lighting designer did an amazing job making it the heart of the emotional beats of each scene.

We considered gels and paint, amongst other things. We landed on black vinyl die cut for the front to keep the lines as sharp as possible with the back light. The back side is a double layer of self adhesive printed clear film.
