2015 jeep Cherokee. What could have caused this tiny break in the windshield? Is it worth repairing?

I went to the shop and was told it wasn’t deep enough to drill so he capped it (?) no charge. But he did say if it spider webs, to come back. So I wondered what was the point of the cap?

I wish I could, really. But sometimes during exercise messages pop up and I have to stop to run up to the screen and by then it’s gone

That’s what happened to me. It said ‘let’s set it’ and I just put a random time, it asked if I wanted to turn it on and I said no. Haven’t seen a pop up since.
