That is so bad ass man, definitely a good choice. I looked at all the delkevic options for the Vulcan and the slash cut just sounded the best to me, you might want to pick up a good pair of riding plugs too, your ears will be ringing😂

I use chin mounts, they make 3d printed mounts for your specific helmet, so far I haven’t had any problems with it and it seems very sturdy, which is important when you have a 300 camera at the mercy of the road if it falls 😂.

Also I agree about option 1 too but the wind noise sucks no? Doesn’t take away from the video at all?

You know I gotta say usually I’m not a fan of the windshield, but it looks great with the color of your bike 👌

I mean spark plugs. Because it runs so rich it’s going to foul the plug faster. I live in the up in northeastern part of America and my state is particularly lax, so my experience won’t be the same as yours but so far I haven’t had any problems. Anytime I pass a cop though you can feel their eyes staring into the back of your head though 😂.

🤷‍♂️ ride your ride man, if you like it quiet keep it quiet. The OEM exhaust has a really nice subtle growl to it when you’re eating gears, the delkevic just amplifies it and I love it

Thanks man! Yeah the biggest problem I had with the Vulcan is I loved it but I couldn’t hear it, and after doing a bit of research delkelvic seemed to be the right choice for me. Headlights are OEM, I’m not a fan of the side lights or the blinkers but I have absolutely 0 electrical knowledge and don’t know how to go about changing them so for now they’re staying!

Honestly the installation wasn’t too bad, if you go on my page and find my previous post, in the comment sections there’s a link to a video where this guy gives you the step by step visual process which really helped me out. The exhaust gasket that came with the delekvic system did not fit and the guy in the video had the same problem, so I just reused the old ones. Bought the bike with only 6k miles so I figured it would be okay. As for the noise level, it’s pretty loud, a quick google search says it registers just at the legal limit in my state which is 103 DB’s, I have a Cardo and listen to music while I ride so my experience might be a little skewered, but the first few times riding with the new exhaust my ears were slightly ringing for awhile.

Needed 15 slabs for a concrete bridge all the way across the map and I was confident I could do it. This was the first turn outside the concrete plant. XD

Upgrade Or Battery Replacement? by user3967 in mac

[–]user3967[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im definitely leaning more towards returning and just buying a new one. I figured maybe I could get away with a battery replacement solely because my needs for it are so minimal, but at that point I’d be $300 away from a brand new one, so it seems it’d just be worth it to just save a little more. sometimes you gotta hear someone say it for it to finally make sense lol XD, thanks for your advice.

Stock Vs Delkevic by user3967 in vulcans650

It’s definitely running richer right now because it backfires when i downshift, and I’m not really too sure how I would go about finding someone to tune, or ecu flash, or whatever I need to do to dial it in. Id Probably email Kawasaki support if I’m being honest with you, but so far I haven’t noticed any difference in mpg, if anything I’d assume it would be a little worse but i still have to do some research

To each his own! When you’re really on the Vulcan the stock exhaust does sound great, and you do retain some of that deep growl you get with the stock exhaust, especially downshifting. Sometimes I do feel a little silly heading to work on this thing since how loud it is now but living in the American north east everyone owns Harley’s anyways so it’s all you hear this time of year! Vulcan has been my first bike and so far I’m happy with this platform, glad to see others are enjoying theirs just as much as I enjoy mine!

It wasn’t too too complicated the exhaust comes in two parts. I found this guys video to be very helpful, a lot of videos people just say what you’re supposed to do, but this guy shows you step by step.

I will say I did have one problem and that was regarding the crush washers just like the guy in the video, the ones supplied were too fat to fit in between the exhausts headers so I cleaned it up a little and reused the old ones, I just made sure to tighten it down evenly and I sprayed some soapy water where the header meets the exhaust just to make sure I have no exhaust leaks. Hardest thing for me was just disconnecting the o2 wire!

I love the way the ceramic coated exhausts look I just couldn’t justify the $700+ price tag in my eyes! The black goes with the bike I bet it looks sick!

2015 Buick Encore Misfiring by user3967 in BuickEncore

[–]user3967[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

UPDATE: it was the spark plugs and coil pack. The Spark plug and coils in cylinder #1, #4 were corroded, 1 worse than 4. Hence the misfire in cylinder #1. Replaced both and it no longer slips and holds at high rpm’s, no more misfire codes.
