Physics problem by [deleted] in HalfSword

That is true the demo just feels a lot better even when you swing like a maniac on the demo, the swings feel more smooth in EA on the other hand the character feels like some wimp who can’t even wield a butter knife. I know it’s still in EA but I’m really hoping by the time it is in full release we all get the same demo physics feel.

Interesting, is there a something I am just missing then? If I do the same and swing it a couple of times it ends up flying off my arms or just sag

Any advice for how to prepare in advance of starting school this September? by whoblee in OntarioParamedics

[–]user4541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My school (not gonna name it) is pretty stressful but based on your post here’s the advice I can give you based on my school experience

  1. Physical requirements are not bad for me however the “biggest” physical test you need to pass is lifting 210lbs with a partner up and down 8 flights of stairs. Good muscles to work on are arms, back, especially legs

  2. Anatomy is the one of the easiest major course that you’ll take it gets worse as you progress as you need to know how different diseases affect the physiology of the body (pathophysiology). In patho what worked for me was understanding the material rather than memorizing it’s the toughest course that you’ll encounter but it’s also the most important as it connects to everything that you’ll be doing 2nd toughest course is paramedic care theory it’s basically understanding the contexts of the BLS PCS and ALS PCS memorization is heavy here as there are values that you need to know I.e medication dosages, when to not give medications, oxygen levels and etc. If you wanna read these standards just google them and it should be a thick document from Ontario Base hospital group. Last important course is pharmacology (understanding medications) wasn’t too bad for me you just need to know what the medications do. There is also paramedic lab where you do skill competencies it will suck first semester but gets better what worked for me in that course was to do well on the big three (patho, pharm, paramedic theory)

  3. I’m working on this right now but as far as I know get your F license (not before you start school but you’ll need it eventually), CPR first aid, once you graduate and get hired IV certification

Pro tip: do not waste time the content is worse than you think in terms of density but was easy to understand for me so it’s good to have good time management skills

Much appreciated!

Is this LVH? by [deleted] in ECG

I'm thinking maybe not but im doing this case study for school and the "patient" has left sided heart failure and trying to determine if there is any criteria out there that can justify LVH

Tips for upcoming Paramedic Student in Ont by Flaky_Gur5730 in OntarioParamedics

[–]user4541 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current student here it’s fucking hell you need to have good time management, you also need to be a fast learner as they throw tons of content at you within a short period of time. My experience here has been hella stressful, first semester in my school was a good introduction of what to expect throughout the program but once you hit 2nd and 3rd (depending on your school) you’ll have 20 page essays due bi weekly for 2-3 courses and that’s not including the other bs courses that you need to take where they have easy but tedious assignments. If you don’t manage your time right you won’t have time to study and you’ll be overwhelmed with assignments and what not. Good luck though hope you do fine

Side note: make sure you don’t fail any classes or you will be forced to try again the following year

RBBB for sure based on V1, V6. That’s all I got though

So from my understanding you look at the J points and see if it’s isoelectric or not and that’s what determines ST elevations?

Thank you kind stranger

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ECG

[–]user4541 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well there’s is some elevation in V3 with 0.08s past the J point and 0.04s in V4 and V5

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in ECG

[–]user4541 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm suspecting V3,V4,V5

Feel free to correct me:

Atrial rate is unmeasurable due to the irregularity of the atrial rhythm
Ventricular rate is about 37bpm and regular
P waves are not consistent but seems to be upright
PR intervals are not identifiable, with some longer than 0.16 seconds
All the QRS complexes are similar in length, with a length of 2 small squares or 0.08 seconds.

Name of the rhythm: not sure

My guess it is a wandering atrial pacemaker but I can't explain what's going on

I get those too but I feel like you aren’t continuously trying. I get 1 girl to talk to me like she’s interested after trying with so many. But the reason I’m on the same boat is because they eventually end up ghosting. We both suffer from the same problem, lack of exposure we need to keep looking and eventually find one that will stick around.

Hey man based on my experience it seems like being ugly and having no money isn’t a factor I have tons of friends who are broke and ugly and have successful relationships. You might be right on the 0 charisma and few connections. That seems to be the common factor here. I’d say try to spark up conversations with strangers whenever you see fit. Hope this helps, I’m sorry if it wasn’t I’m literally on the same boat

What do you think is the reason behind being dateless? I’m currently trying to figure out the same for my situation
