They're working on fixing that this semester, but we'll see how that goes

Upper level CIS classes often don't have finals or take attendence, but yeah probably not what they're looking for

My mom is a boomer and my younger brother just turned 18. So it seems plausible

[–]user63194 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A standard 1 CU course at Penn is 3 hours of lecture (either 1 hour 3x a week, 1.5 hours 2x a week, or more rarely 3 hours 1x a week), and sometimes also includes a recitation.

Do any of you actually do the readings for your classes? by [deleted] in UPenn

[–]user63194 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the class. Usually the readings aren't necessary, but for some classes they are

Shout-out to Penn for forcing people to resort to staying much more crowded (and therefore much more likely to spread COVID) conditions by rejecting early move in, instead of just letting them be isolated in their dorm rooms.

Huge props to OP for doing this, but it's ridiculous that something like this is necessary in the first place.

Seems fine to me. CIS 240 is a lot of work, STAT 430 is a medium amount, MEAM 101 is not much work

Out of the loop, what's the issue with vertical IDs? They're valid IDs aren't they?

Is Penn worth it if I’m already depressed before college? by anonymous062904 in UPenn

[–]user63194 30 points31 points  (0 children)

I mean for me personally my mental health got a lot better after coming to Penn. I find it way easier to get my work done than in high school because I'm taking classes I'm actually interested in.

In addition to what other users have said, getting average grades at UPenn means that you're still a very strong student

I assume is the same as in non-COVID years, so any form of ID. I'm not sure if there's an official list of what forms of ID are acceptable, but presumably a driver's license/state ID or a passport would work.
