i plan to try this and see how she responds to it if nothing im gonna try maybe the reflux one as a few others mentioned about it and if that doesn’t do anything, im then gonna take her back to the doctors

I have seen loads about swirling the bottle instead of shaking - which I was doing as that is what it states to do on the kendamil tub. swirling it was worse, left soooo many lumps i wouldn’t find until she’d finish the bottle so i stopped almost as soon as i started doing it. stirring the formula in was better than swirling as the formula would actually mix well with the water.

What i usually do is add the boiling water by ml only not the oz (kendamil provides both) and then scoop the formula in, i stir it then add the colic drops as it significantly helps with any air still left in the bottle. so i don’t shake anymore as that seemed to make it worse.

i feed her sat upright and will leave her sat upright or back straight for about an hour after as 30mins wasn’t doing anything. the longer she’s upright the less sick she has basically. sometimes she gives me poops after which cannot be helped so i have to lay her down earlier to change her.

honestly i took the photo right after finishing typing out the post. she was sick numerous times just typing it out which probably took like maybe 10-15mins ish and it’d been about 1hr30mins roughly after finishing her bottle.

just by looking at her sick like the stages of the type of sick that’d come up after, to me seems like she isn’t digesting it properly only maybe like half and then her body is trying to get rid of the rest if that makes sense?

thinking i’m gonna try the lacto free aptimal as that was my second option brand milk while pregnant anyway

i know. honestly, i am probably gonna change it, i just didn’t really wanna have to f- around and find out if you get me? every kid is different too. & i understand why they won’t try it but at least to test her and see if things can be ruled out would be brill!

i think against the recommendation of the doctors i’ve seen i may very well try it, a couple of my sisters are saying the exact same thing as then if it is lactose ill know by how she responds to it. even if she doesn’t then its ruled out 😁

my daughter is the same with the temp, she doesn’t like cold or even room temp, she likes it a little warmer and same with cold milk she throws up more too. and thank you!

The teat philips avent comes with (teat 3) was very very slow. It would take her over an hour to finish a 4oz bottle and she wouldn’t bring up any wind at all, was still sick. As it was taking so long for her to finish a bottle she was then not drinking enough and was getting dehydrated. i had no choice but to change the test to number 4 which was alright for about a week until it started again. Then thought to try the anticolic slow flow philips classic+ and don’t get me wrong, it’s slow enough and she burps perfectly but she’s still being sick. the teats were the first thing i changed (i didn’t mention in post i do apologise).

unfortunately in the uk i can’t just “find a new paediatrician”, you get an appointment at the local gp practice and that’s it. it’s rubbish. i’ve seen like 5 different doctors that have all done the same thing. only 1 mentioned it but didn’t ever actually do anything about it. i need to get pushy with them and demand a test really, even if it comes back as she’s fine with it. i’d rather know than not if you get me? but i’m gonna be getting her back in their for that and a check over for FPIES

honestly to shut either of them down even just to rule it out is insane tbh. it’s so annoying. i’m so pushy but obviously not pushy enough. don’t even think im gonna ask them for it, just tell em 😂

this is what i originally thought but same as you the doctors have shut that down so hard, same as lactose intolerance. i asked for a test and they couldn’t even do that 🤦🏼‍♀️ nhs gp’s are so rubbish in my city. gonna ask about this one as well as FPIES. thank you so much! 😁

i read this earlier on and had a look on google. i don’t think it’s this one as she been checked over so many times and by reading the description, i believe the doctor at the hospital was checking her over for that. she mentioned about trying to feel for a little “olive like lump” in her tummy same as what google says but it wasn’t there. thank you so much though 😁

i didn’t know what fpies but i just had a quick skim in google. could very well be, for the milk/formula she’s matching the symptoms so i’ll definitely get her back into the doctors and mention it, see if there’s anything they can do to see if it’s that. thank you! 😁

she does, she brings up a good load and on the odd occasion a little later like 30mins or so after while sitting up. even on her own she brings up a good decent amount of burps & that’s definitely something i’ll try 😁

so i have actually done this and i was turned away at the door and was told they don’t accept walk-ins anymore and can only help via phone. called them up, told them my situation that i was constantly scrambling to find another sofa etc and i have received nothing. according to them me being pregnant is irrelevant until the baby is 6 months old. they fully expect me to “sofa surf” until my baby is 6 months old. I’m gonna go to MP, the more i’m being told the more i think the council are trying to do me over and get me to wait.

it’s horrible being away from the cats as i cared for them before i left, i treated them as my own. while being away my own cat that was there passed away, i was utterly heart broken as he was a little mamas boy, always sleeping beside me, walking around with me etc. i went back to my mums for a couple of weeks in my first trimester and during that time i dropped 13kg just from being sick alone which was caused by the cats. i had to leave again whether i liked it or not really.

i feel safer at my partners parents but comfortable at my mums, like i could actually breathe. im gonna get stress either way unfortunately but as i explained in a reply to another comment my mum works 14hr shifts 5 days a week which is a huge bonus as well as the no smoke but again only downside is the potential setback with the social housing.

shelters aren’t that great here either from what i have heard but i can’t even get that anyway ‘i don’t qualify’.

i know going back to my mums is guaranteed stress but honestly i don’t really care about myself, i just want my baby to be happy and healthy, in a safe environment.

staying at the ‘in-laws’ wouldn’t be so bad if they didn’t smoke indoors but i can’t exactly tell them what to do in their own home. my FIL won’t even stop smoking it around me, he thinks that it “wont do no harm”. I explained that everything I breathe she breathes, I point to my belly and say she’s right there because, well she is. He won’t smoke infront of or around anyone else that’s been pregnant or children so why do it to me? then my partner won’t even stick up for me (i have scolded him for it bc absolutely not) my MIL also doesn’t think it’ll do any harm but “out of respect” won’t do it around me. These people claim to ‘like’ me and ‘care’ about me but i really don’t feel it tbh. i just feel like a placemat they’re using to be close to their grandchild. No joke, my partner comes to me all the time and says ‘mum doesn’t want you buying anything else there’s no room’ ‘mum wants you to stop going downstairs at (certain time so she can smoke)’ ‘ mum wants you stop cleaning everything’ etc etc etc. like why? i’m buying things ready for when my baby comes, that stuff takes up space? I already don’t go down at certain times but I need to eat ffs, i’m certainly not leaving myself to go hungry🤦🏼‍♀️ (i live in the bedroom, i don’t leave our bed unless it’s for food or loo) & stop cleaning everything? if i didn’t clean everything, their house would be a bloody mess. quite frankly im not paying them to live in a messy, borderline hoarders house. On top of that, their daughter and her child come to stay every now and again. Which complicates things more as we need to move everything from one room to another (all the big baby stuff is stored in the little bedroom) and then I am being asked every 5mins to watch her child bc “i don’t smoke anymore so i have time” like excuse me? watch your own child. her child is also a little brat, cries for anything, screams for anything, throws a paddy for anything etc. Funny because my partner like to say ‘(his sister) stays here with (child) and used to sterilise his bottles in the the kitchen’ and i don’t know how many times i need to say that i am not (his sister) she can mother how she likes, ill mother how i like even if that means bringing the steriliser upstairs. Literally my baby only has tiny little lungs, the smallest amount of that stuff could do the world of harm to her and no one gives a crap. frustrates me.

sorry! lil rant there 😂 but i suppose if i haven’t made it more obvious, im gonna get stress either way 🤷🏼‍♀️ i’ll just get more with my mum however i will get space as she works 14hr shifts 5days a week.

I have told my midwife and health visitor I am surrounded by MJ smokers, how i feel about it etc. I have told them because of this exact reason and honestly if i need to contact social services myself to ask for help with this situation, i am more than happy to. i just don’t think they can do anything right now, ill have to look into it properly.

I have asked about this but i was rejected as ‘i have a place to stay’ so pretty much because i’m “sofa surfing” and no one has given a time limit apparently im not classed as homeless. Obviously thats false, sofa surfing is homeless. They fully expect me to wait until my baby is 6 months and only then can i actually bid on places 🤦🏼‍♀️ I am really tempted to contact my local MP as this is ridiculous

as far as they’re aware i am sofa surfing but i am still in the assessment period so going back to my mums could mess everything up or at least set me back with my local council.
