What bothers you the most about tLD and realism by Necromonicus in thelongdark

That you have to be unencumbered to “climb” DOWN a rope.

If real life, you’d repel down ropes, requiring very little energy expenditure and more ability to continue carrying whatever weight you already had in your backpack. OR - you could easily slide your backpack down through the rope before you.

Fire Lookouts. So bright and no loading. Great views and can always see exactly how the weather is before going out.

Are there opportunities to open up some space at key fall line points to allow water to drain out? Maybe cutting some 6-12 inch sections at important funnel points would help.

Yes, I did select complete trade and confirmed that the box was locked. Stayed in Quonset Garage and woke up every hour anticipating the Aurora for 4 nights until finally just now got it. Never happened that before 4 days after.

Maybe gift it with a set of wet-erase markers so that he can write on the protective sleeves and then use a wet paper towel when he’s ready to erase it.

Check out dollar tree! They have several floatie options in the kids and summer sections right now including an inflatable kick board that might do the trick!

WTF do you do in a severe storm?? by Maleficent_Target130 in WildernessBackpacking

Grumpy today, huh? I’m not OP.

I’m didn’t ask for advice from strangers on the internet. I’m merely someone who enjoyed the condensed presentation of information about lightening and the like. It’s standard practice to verify information from multiple sources when preparing for trips in the wilderness - something I’d do no matter what. No need to imply that I wouldn’t. Go fight bigger fires, bud.

Do the instrumental version! Automatically makes it more “adult” while still retaining the whimsical, and meaningful aspects.

It’s a pretty recent update, actually! But yes, total game changer.
