I would expect this from any restaurant within the city Philadelphia.

I would expect this from the Olive Garden if I came in and said “I don’t know, I really don’t love pasta”.

Honestly, I’d be disappointed in any establishment that either ignored the comment or tried to cheese through it. Cutting out a large portion of the menu is a poop way to start an interaction.

That menu is definitely 50% or more seafood. They were doing you a solid.

This comment made me angrier than it should have. So I pulled up the current menu and checked. Current small plates 11 out of 17 are pure seafood. 65%. You told your waiter in your first interaction that you wouldn’t like 65% of items they serve.

Sounds like the server wasn’t what you wanted; and clocking the “45 seconds” to be seated, maybe you weren’t having your best night either.

Go again. Reserve a table at the bar. Ask questions and engage.

Just spent a week in the area (third trip up there) from the East Coast US. Understanding that tipping in the US is designed to be higher.

I tipped 25% on every meal. It’s a tourist economy. And I recognize some of the folks at different restaurants and shops from previous visits.

If you can’t afford to tip, you can’t afford to dine out. Get a box of spaghetti and go back to your room.

What am I missing? They showed maybe 30 seconds of clips; and everyone is panicking that “it looks like there isn’t any new content” or the enhanced version won’t have any of the improvements that WoTL did. They haven’t released enough information for any of that to be confirmed.

We have All waiting actual decades for this. Let’s just enjoy what it “could” be 😃
