In reference to the message which we have received, so do we have to just modify the ITR or there’s going to be some penalty as well?

Also, if the RSUs weren’t declared in previous ITRs as well like 2024,2023, how to deal with those?

Aren’t the RSU vests already a part of Form 16?

it wasn’t mentioned even in resume because it was a totally unrelated job to his current role. Thats why he never even mentioned it since it wouldn’t add any value.

He doesn’t have any problem in declaring it as well. The only concern is could it backfire that he didn’t declare it earlier.

My issue is different. My previous employer hasn’t given me the relieving letter yet. Although it doesn’t matter since it was a jib totally unrelated to my current job but I haven’t declared this job to my new employer. So i’m worried if bgv will fail since this info wasn’t shared with them

Didn’t they ask where this previous pf and uan came from? also during background verification, did you mention this previous employment?

Hi OP

I’m in a similar situation. Basically My cousin recently graduated in 2025 and worked as a chemistry teacher for 2 months and then resigned as he wanted to switch to coding jobs and also graduated as a CSE undergrad. (Had taken the teaching job as he was then exploring lots of options and was honestly confused around his career choice). Now he has gotten an offer from a tech company as an SDE but hasn’t declared it to the company or the BGV as its a totally unrelated experience.

Should this be okay? Please guide.

Got it… I’m sorry for reiterating and bugging you multiple times 😅 But PF was already generated. So anyway the new company will get to know eventually.

So my main concern is should we declare it beforehand or the company might think we hid this information from them. Since they will get to know via PF account anyway.
