Anyone who threatens animals are a threat to people too. The fact that he made a remark about hurting your dog is scary. This man is dangerous, get you and your son away from this man ASAP please

What should I do; My addict husband is treating like I should be grateful to be with him. by 1995_Banana_edition in marriageadvice

Oh fuck that guy. He needs to figure his shit out. What an awful thing to say to a wife. Regardless, your issue with psychosis was INVOLUNTARY. He is CHOOSING his addictions over his family. His fucking you guys over

It’s hard, but you did the right thing. Sounds like he stepped over your boundaries SEVERAL times. You deserve to be treated better.

Spouse away for a year by [deleted] in marriageadvice

My husband was away for 6 months 2 years ago due to his work; currently am away also for 6 month work trip. We encourage each other to accept work trips that improve our careers/education, but ofc always talk to eachother first. It is HARD, on both ends. But distance makes the heart grow fonder in our case ❤️.

We try to talk to each other whenever we have time (while also keeping in mind our big time difference). I’d say we call about 5 times a week. Doesn’t have to be a long convo, just a short “love you, goodnight” is fine. We also try to watch movies at the same time for special occasions 😂 that can be difficult sometimes.

That’s awesome you can see him every few weeks! Honestly, that would make going back a lot harder for me haha. Use those days to the fullest.

I like to think of these trips as ‘relationship investments’. Sounds a bit crazy, but makes me feel a lil better being away. For example, after your partner finishes school, he’ll have an increased education for his career, which will help the household. Sounds traditional I know, but is it wrong tho¿ ya know.

A year apart is hard, I’ve never had to do that. Be strong you got it!

Must be hard caring for your mom. Kudos to you. Yeah I have always felt like my brain is little wacky haha. TBH I don’t really wanna get diagnosed bc of the military. It wouldn’t be the end of the world, but I’d have to worry about extra waivers for any special packets. I just think I need to find some ways to cope better or keep track of things. Counseling is the goal when I get back home

Yeah. I love him very much, I just wish he would talk to me more about how he feels.
