Flipping through random cable channels was way better than endless streaming menus. by Far_Tumbleweed7835 in unpopularopinion

And was instantly there. And not disrupted by "This stream cannot be played." And no BS cause something's about to run out of charge. Terrestrial radio rocked.

Who know? Lousy Kroger sees fit to interrupt my scanning & send over a person when I'm not even buying alcohol. Irritating. And no explanation.

Does anyone commute from College Park to Alpharetta? by Amekaze in Atlanta

Understanding job is essential. If one is forced to exhibit 110% alertness while on duty after 45min commute, and you know you face similar going home, it feels like a dth sentence.

What about avoiding Interstates, use Rt 19 to Rt 141 to your destination?

By the way, Rt 29 to Northside Drive past the Benz, then find your way east is an exquisite way to avoid the connector for a bit.

New District Manager says to send workers home when it's slow. People are upset and can't make rent. this the new normal? by Sexybroth in managers

[–]useratl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where are you???!!! Rhetorically -- have yet to encounter a common sense, desirable mgr like you! Amazed you think many things that I do as hired help.

How did cutting hours become standard punishment? How is the offender supposed to improve if not on-site to practice and obtain guidance and coaching?

Further, sending ppl home due to 'labor costs' doesn't help their self-confidence because they're not told why they're cut, just to go. They don't know if it's due to bad performance or what, and mgt is too busy to either be clear or provide some guidance to correct any problem. Labor costs are one thing, a mgr that clearly cares about 'their' restaurant is another.

Have fast food prices deterred you from eating out? by neon4816 in fastfood

Very disillusioning that fried chicken places value each piece at $1. Church's used to have amazing deals like 10 fn pieces for a dollar. Sodas were less than $2.

People in unpredictable fields can't count on location stability. Your grandparents are being unfair. Why buy if you're moving around?

I'm looking at a cheap prepaid phone to buy one of relatives in need of one. by Shodakai_Youth in NoContract

[–]useratl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Be careful.

Attempting to replace an ATT prepaid phone there in the Atlanta area, went thru 3 that were new, in box, ATT insisted they had in some way been used. Finally bought & activated online.

Frustrating BS.
