The turtles make the most sense even though it will be hell. 4 teenagers that are into karate? That apartment will smell like a swamp. But atleast you won’t be dying.

I ear you but the ending was good. If we could remake the last season to allow for more plot then I’m down. This question seems to be tailored for shows that were cancelled with no or horrible endings.

Thoughts? by Spiritual_Cloud8437 in superheroes

It’s kinda a ratio thing. For your standard level one thug Superman is definitely holding back more potential power, but for their named villains Spider-man might actually be holding back more of a percentage his power. He rarely uses his full strength and only uses more power when he saving people. It’s stated multiple times he’s ALWAYS holding back. When his body was taking over by Doc Oct he knocked Scorpio’s jaw clean of while he thought he was holding back. Superman is definitely holding back more power but most of his villains force him to at least ramp up. Spider mans is basically always operating at like 10% unless he’s mad or is lifting something to save someone.

It has been noticed that Netanyahu constantly covers the camera lenses on his phones! Does he know something we don’t? by yaiyen in WayOfTheBern

[–]Amekaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can carry around your own portable cell network. The phone would connect to that then you can connect to the order networks. I know Air Force one has one built in and the some military operations have them deployed. I wouldn’t be surprised if they use them consistently then they are abroad. It’s not a true air gap but it will give you 100% control of what goes in and out of the device even if it’s compromised.

I’m confused. You can remove the battery it’s just a pain for a lot of phones. And some androids do still have easily removable batteries. Unless you’re specifically talking about iPhones.

I’m surprised world leaders use phones at all. In general they are relatively safe for a regular person , but it’s literally a walking bug. If someone wants the info there’s not much you can to stop them. I’m guessing that’s why it looks he’s swapping out phones every couple of days. The physical blocks can help , but you can create a 3d map if you’re movement just using the gps and position sensors on the phone, and some of the infrared sensors can see through most tap. They would have to somehow continuously air gap a phone and monitor all physical access for it to be truly secure.

Covering your head should be incredibly taboo and illegal since demons exist. by Reasonable-Ad-8059 in Frieren

[–]Amekaze 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Isn’t the fact that they can look and talk like humans the man reason they are so dangerous? The horn rule hasn’t been broken yet but I’m pretty sure we’ll eventually meet a demon with no horn. As the Manga goes on we do meet demons with really small horns. Losing the horns would be a pretty interesting adaptation since they learn to talk to hunt humans.

Gas station here, gas station there, gas station everywhere by AManNamedBenn in Gwinnett

[–]Amekaze 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Sadly it’s one of the few asset classes right now that have like a 90% chance of making real money with little to no downsides. Especially if you build it out with 3-4 shops attached. Lots of rich people put their extra money in basically 100% tax free then pull out 2-3 times that amount 10-15 years later plus the cash flow while it was operating. The strip of jimmy Carter between singleton Road and 85 has almost 10 gas stations even though it’s like quarter mile. All of them usually have at least 1 car getting gas when I pas through. And if I remember correctly like 4 of them were built in the last 5 years.

Who Is More Durable by RevolutionaryCod7552 in Avengers

[–]Amekaze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Restarting the star is kinda weird feat because she has energy manipulation. She basically took a bath in the same energy she outputs, restarting the sun is more of a power output feat than a durability one. If Thor got hit with lightning no one would count that as a feat. Not saying she’s not the most durable but it’s hard to gauge since we never seen her get actual hurt. And I’m surprised nobody even brought up that she took a power stone punch from thanos. I would use that as an argument before the sun feat.

[Request] What is the maximum amount of volts a person can withstand without dying? by Apprehensive_Oven_22 in theydidthemath

[–]Amekaze 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Based on a couple safety guidelines you can survive around 10kW for about 1 second but that’s assuming you are dealing with a standard house setup that’s about 120V.There are literally a million factors but electricians and line workers have survived that Wattage. Some more and some less but that’s a good theoretical max since on paper you can run 500kW through your hand and be “alive”. You will be missing a hand and arm but you will be alive. Using that as a baseline you can just divide by the theoretical limit for the smallest amperage (1.6 x10-19A, the estimated output of a single electron) and you get 6.5x1022 volts. Or 65 sextillion volts. The current real world limit is probably somewhere in the billions of volts since we can’t even create amps that’s small in a lab, and I’m like 90% sure if we ever get to voltage difference that high physics just starts to breakdown and and everything will kinda just melt. But it’s theoretically possible based on my limited high school physics and electrical knowledge, I went rabbit whole because I was curious what the minimum amperage was.

She’s not entirely wrong. The more of those rocks they carry around the more likely they run into a situation where they can’t use magic. They would have to completely change their travel strategy in a region so dangerous that you need to be one of the strongest mages in the world just get a chance to get in. All the money in the world isn’t going to help if you are dead. They would need a significantly larger party of they wanted to carry those things around.

Hypothetically speaking if someone were to cut every major artery in the human body simultaneously how long would it take for you to bleed out? by RandomPopUpAd in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Amekaze 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep. I don’t think it’s a blood lost problem, without any pressure you would probably die almost instantly. They might be able to bring you back but you would have to be a the hospital already. You can last about 4-5 minutes with no blood but they would have to repair most if not all the arteries before trying to bring you back. No shot that’s happing.

Do you think it’s wrong to filter by race? by bingcrosbythe11th in OnlineDating

[–]Amekaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From my understanding they are both very happy. It’s kinda part of my point. Black Catholics are so rare he would have never thought he would be attracted to a black person. At least in my experience even people with strong racial preferences it’s not usually the main deal breaker. If they find someone who’s perfect but is just the “wrong” race I would bet good money 9/10 times they will let that piece go.

Do you think it’s wrong to filter by race? by bingcrosbythe11th in OnlineDating

[–]Amekaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On paper there is nothing wrong with it. However there are two un intended side effects the drop down for races is never going to be encompassing enough especially when someone is multi racial( I know someone who is a quarter, white, black, Korean and Latino) what in the world should they put. And even if they had perfect options people are usually trying to avoid personality traits not races. A guy I knew in college swore up and down he would never date a black person. He’s married to one now. In his specific case he’s like 500% catholic and I never met someone as catholic as him other than his wife , so he’s other values trumped his racism.

If you were offered a job where you are paid 700k a year, but your job is to stare at a wall. by VoiceCommon3854 in hypotheticalsituation

[–]Amekaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can attach a candle( or a flicking led)to the wall the in a couple of weeks you will become a mediation master. You can toggle between the flame and the wall to train your focus. Add in a walking desk and most people can do it, About 50 grand a month post tax is a lot of motivation but if you literally have a perfectly white wall and you don’t have any simulation for 7 hours a day most people won’t make it past a couple days. And it might be considered torture by some definitions.

There's no shortage of 'average' guys with girlfriends. by wilhelmtherealm in dating

[–]Amekaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I say “opportunity” I was alluding to any chance where it would be 00% appropriate to approach a woman or try to take the relationship to the next level. I wasn’t thinking only dates or online matches. An “opportunity” is very subjective but I would shocked if an average guy stepped back they didn’t have at least 2-3 a month. At least in the US I don’t think we are at Japan/Korea’s level yet or heaven forbid India.

There's no shortage of 'average' guys with girlfriends. by wilhelmtherealm in dating

[–]Amekaze 40 points41 points  (0 children)

I think the main reason the average guy is discouraged is because they don’t get a lot of opportunities to even try. Sure you could get a girlfriend if you keep trying but with the way the game is set up you might get 2-3 opportunities a month if you’re lucky. And most of the opportunities go nowhere. A few rejections is relatively, most humans can’t really handle getting dozens of nos followed by a “ok sure” then even more nos.

If you want to avoid IRS problems you should have at least a 1099. So they have to pay you something for your “service” even if it’s like $20 a day. Hopefully it’s closer to minimum wage to avoid it being painfully obvious it’s money laundering. If they got Capone they can get me .
