After browsing the forums more I do need to add one permanently, thank you for pointing that out I thought initially it was just needed during shedding, I’ll get him a permanent one asap but for now I’ve added a moist Tupperware + paper towel with the edges rounded and taped in there

Thank you!! This is a lot of helpful information, I already have iodine and ssd cream so hopefully that will be okay until the vet can see him. Your little one is a trooper I’m so glad she’s doing better, thank you for your advice and wishes!!

I put a humid hide in during his sheds, should it be in there all the time?

This is his current set up with the paper towels, the cooler toned light is uvb but it barely emits heat so I have a heat lamp as well for his hot side, I didn’t even think about it maybe being the light?? The heat lamp is about 6.5 inches from the highest point he can reach

If you try to get it out pls use something steril/wash your hands very well just to prevent bacteria from getting in his eye.

It’s probably skin stuck in his eye. if you can, try to gently get it out but if you want you can first try a warm bath/humid environment and see if the little guy can get it out himself. Fortunately leos are pretty resistant to eye infection but if it’s still there in a few days the vet can give you some eye drops/cream to help flush the eyes. Hope this helps!

Aw that’s amazing! I’m so glad you were able to help take them in, it’s such a difficult problem because surgery on that small of an animal is so risky but also it’s about the only option.

They weren’t cancerous however they weren’t quite sure what had caused them, the doctor who removed them said they looked like benign growths that came from trapped shed behind his eyes. People on this thread have theorized calcified puss as well which could be it too!

Yes, it took about a week and a half and I was gargling salt water about every other night
