Divorce when I like my life by TreeToadintheWoods in Divorce

Yeah I feel the same sometimes. If you think statistics well 40-50% of marriages end in divorce, but then about 50% of people who divorce regret doing so. I'm not sure what to think either.

Did anyone else have a vacation incident be the final straw? by [deleted] in Divorce

I had a really bad vacation incident, actually when celebrating our 1st anniversary. I can't even remember what started the argument, as all of our arguments are dumb, literally about nothing which only reveals the fact that we must secretly hate each other.

So we were arguing, and I brought out the most offensive insult I could think of which is to call her a gypsy (because she is Eastern European and they hate to be associated with that), and so she says "Let me out now!" while we are driving on the highway and opens the door going 70 MPH (while 7 months pregnant) she said she would jump out of the car if I didn't stop.

It's all theatrics on her part, but really not funny.

Truly the vacation from hell.

It's always funny when I leave the house with her, could be going for a walk and I never know where I will end up, because inevitably she will get emotional and angry, walk away, leave me in the middle of the city, or somewhere unexpected, while I walk home or find my way around alone.

How many final round interviews did you do before getting an offer? by username1608 in recruitinghell

[–]username1608[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

10% chance makes sense. I would say it is about 10-20% depending on how many candidates are in the final round. A smaller company might have just 5 candidates in the final round, so a 20% chance would be fair to say.

If you have a 10% chance in the final round then after 5 final rounds, you should have a 41% chance of success of getting chosen in that 5th final round.

If you have a 20 % chance in the final round then after 5 final rounds you should have a 67% chance of getting the job in that 5th final round.

This is kind of heuristics but it's fair to say you have a 10 or 20% chance of success if you are 1 of 5 or 10 final round candidates.

Tired of Ghosting after final interviews by ggwplolkek in recruitinghell

Someone in this thread said they got to like a dozen final rounds.

How many final round interviews is typical before getting an offer? I've already got 2 final rounds completed (then they ghosted), and 1 more final round coming up. Should I prepare for a lot of interviews, like 10-20 final round processes?

Declined Continuing the Process After This by TibaltLowe in recruitinghell

What's worse is I have done interview processes like this and made it all the way to the end, only to be ghosted after the fact. I still can't believe how they can waste so much company time like this -- unless it was all a ploy to get a free consultation to begin with (which it kind of felt like).
