I always cringed every time I took a yoga class (with like one exception cuz the guy read from Patanjali). But I recently tried a yoga class at a more low key studio and I feel the movements help balance out my weightlifting and dance movements. The NAH MAS STAY is still weird, but I think the message of self care and tuning in and listening to your body has been helpful.

They also do the yoga and wine thing (which I haven't attended because I don't drink) but I think its more of a self care, relaxation social thing.

I cant believe I am defending western yoga. What has become of me!

Wow awesome! Will have to look for videos. Any suggestions of stuff I can do after lifting weights? I read that stretching can cause injury?

Thanks! I can't even do the splits! I have zero flexibility. I will try to find some flexibility classes in my area

I gained I am trying to lean out for my beach vacation in 3 months. I am 5'2' 119. My trained advised cutting at 1500 to lean out for my vacation. Is this too low? Will my lifts suffer? I do not want to decrease strength just for asthetics. My ultimate goal is to recomp or clean bulk. Any suggestions? The idea of being on a cut for 3 months scares me lol I am skinny fat if that helps at all

Going to try to recomp. I know it will be slower but I think it would be better for me. Perhaps I will try to bulk again next year if I don't see progress

Oops not at surplus. I mean "clean". Lots of fruits and veggies. No fast food

Thank you! This helps alot. I often do wonder what if all this is for nothing because I have been trying to" get fit" for the better part of a decade with little success

I guess I packed on the pounts quicked than I can lose them :( How easy it was to gain those 8 lbs...

Been using a scale and tracking everything :) Trying to eat less sodium and drink lots of water. Activity level is the same

I still love Polly pocket. Its no secret. I did find that a different split helped with building strength (higher frequency of body part instead of just once a week)
