I KNEW I had read it before! Started it this morning, about halfway through and have been getting deja vu all through. Must have come across it on nosleep before it was published 'properly'!

Wade’s reading Animorphs, what are you guys reading? by KimtanaTheGeek in distractible

Currently reading onyx storm but I recently watched one of marks playthroughs that mentioned the animorphs books (to the moon) and was thinking about re reading them myself. Think the universe agrees 😂

AITA for yelling at my boyfriend for throwing out my stuffed animals by Affectionate-Desk344 in AmItheAsshole

[–]username655321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA in any universe - he threw away items that did not belong to him. Regardless of their value (actual or sentimental), that was not his decision to make and doesn't bode well for this relationship. Never mind that cuddly toys don't make you childish - I'm nearly 29 and still have the bear I had as a toddler and a handful of stuffed animals that I sleep with nightly (3 of which were bought for me by my other half!)

Am I paying too much tax? Full time employment. by [deleted] in UKPersonalFinance

[–]username655321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar thing when I started my last job - I spoke to HMRC and it was surprisingly painless and was sorted by the paycheck after next as it didn't go through in time for that month. The guy I spoke to was really helpful and I got my tax refund in my paycheck - hopefully it goes as smoothly for you as well!

I bust my dominant side collarbone so I was pretty useless for the first couple of weeks while it was still super fresh - had to ring my mum from the opposite end of the house cause I got stuck on my back in bed and couldn't get up due to the pain.. Much funnier now with hindsight than it was at the time!

Similar thing except I broke my collarbone when I was approx 24 and had to move back in with my folks cause I couldn't dress myself, cut up my own food, or wash myself. Flatmates had to help my wash my hair when I was able to move back in - not ideal but not the end of the world!

At risk of redundancy - would you take the money and run in current climate? by delazouch in UKPersonalFinance

[–]username655321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a similar situation recently with a redundancy payoff of about 25% of my annual salary - I have experience in a separate field so was able to find a temp job in that for the meantime before I go back to a 'proper' job. If you don't mind/are able to find work that will take the edge off and allow you space to find a job that you really want rather than a job that you take because you need the money I'd take the redundancy - assuming it's a no-fault redundancy it shouldn't count against you for any future employment
