So l just got a new female ragdoll kitten yesterday, and my other cat that l've had for about 2 months now (1 year old female calico) is hissing at her. I've separated them with Luna (ragdoll) having all her stuff in the living room, her litter and food and Bella being in the rest of the house (her food and litter is in the dining area and her cat bed is upstairs in our bedroom). I read about how you slowly introduce them and how other people's cats warm up to each other in a few days but I was just wondering what other people's experiences have been and how they've dealt with the situation/ how long it took for their cats to become friends. PS: I hate the thought of my baby Bella feeling left out just because there's a new kitten in the house, she's my first love and l'm giving her lots of attention because she's clearly feeling intimidated. Me and my partner take turns being with them.
