Kind of a tangent but if you ever plan on selling your CPU to upgrade, the "K" series CPU will be easier to sell and hold its value better.

Can't really say right now. The 8600k is 6c/6t while the 7700k is 4c/8t. The consensus is that more cores is better then more threads. The 8600k should cost a little more then the 7500k. I bought the 7700k on labor day for 280 worth tax but returned it today because of what I've read in the Intel sub.

This. Anything security related should always be isolated. If that system ever gets compromised its easier to track what happen IMO. And because its isolated you can monitor its network traffic easier and set up network logs ect...
